We would visit again, but have breakfast elsewhere.

Breakfast was OK, but the poorest we have had in a hotel/pub. No tea or Coffee offered - no greeter - therefore no explanation. We helped ourselves, but didn't see anyone to ask about fried eggs. No jam/marmalade available on our morning. Food was OK - it did - I would not complain about it, but suffered from sitting - a little cold.

Staff were helpful and obliging. Room was good and the bed was excellent. Position suited us well for our visit to Cadbury World. Room was clean, and not musty at all. Fish and chip dinner was nice.

For the room rate paid it was good value for money, plenty of parking which was 'free'. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Good location to where I needed to be.

TV temperamental, but not a significant problem.

Excellent location: 4.5 mile canal walk into Birmingham. Easy walk to Bournville and Cadbury World. A lovely clean pub and no issues with noise in the room.

Good atmosphere in the bar, food served up to 9.0 pm but didn't try.

The people upstairs from our room were playing loud dance music until 10pm, then again for about an hour at around 2am

Breakfast Coffee was a little dour as only had sachet's not a coffee machine. Evening meal in pub area was ok, but there was some noisy customers that were kicked out by bar staff made it a little uncomfortable. walking a little outside was also a little unsavoury with some drunks hanging around and being a bit unruly. Strong smell of marijuana in the hall from one of the rooms near mine.

Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. Comfortable bed, reasonably sized room with nice en-suite shower.

Breakfast limited range fitted with reasonable low price, but prefer to pay more for better method of service: no porridge and cooked breakfast buffet style OK but food semi luke warm and bacon cardboard like. So, that detracted a bit, if I stay again, I would not have breakfast.

Convenient location for access by vehicle, free car park, nearby walkable facilitues, food etc in Stirchley, train station in Bournville and buses to city. Rooms comfortable, shower good, all very clean.

The only criticism I have really is the cooked breakfast was not very hot.

The location was fine. The last time I was there was on 8th October 1971 for my stag night. But I remember much about that to be honest. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the girl on reception on Friday night when we arrived. She was lovely.

The bathroom fan did not appear to be working (reported to Reception, but not fixed during our stay). Fortunately it was not too hot as we would not have been able to open our window because the smoking area was immediately outside, with the ash tray box attached to our wall inches from the window. You could see the holes where the ash tray used to be attached to the opposite wall that had no windows.

The breakfast was good, but they were waiting for their delivery, so some items were in short supply one morning. They did do their best to find replacement items though. Walking distance to Cadbury World.
