No heating so had to sleep with coat as quilt No chair only small dressing table stool 32 steps to room and no lift so may not suit some older people

Despite all the lighting at the back of the hotel when you are coming in very late at night, which I was, it was scary to have to walk that way, but that's the only way in. A man randomly appeared out of nowhere behind me when I was locking up my bike across the road from the pub. He surprised me, and I was already not filled with joy when I remembered that I was going to have to cross the road and go behind the hotel to get in at night. The man went the same way in front of me, I was not scared of him, I just did not want to go where I needed to which was behind a pub so late at night and when someone was around. So ladies please be mindful, it is as simple as that!!!! P.S Maybe the pub can look at this issue, a better way to get into the property at night for anyone?

It's such a lovely-looking pub, space, with the bonus of having a dance floor downstairs with a good DJ on Saturdays if you decide not to go anywhere, and want to dance around your handbag all night..lol The staff again were so helpful, Morrisons is just across the road and you're not being ripped off with the price.

The parking situation was a little rough, plenty of space don’t get me wrong, but due to it also being a pub, a lot of the spaces around check in time were occupied with a lot of cars parked quiet poorly and double parked.

Clean, quiet and pleasant location within walking distance to station and driving distance to many shops and Cadbury World.

I did not have breakfast. Location was ideal: reasonably easily accessible by road, and a few minutes' walk from Bournville Station - from where it was easy ( and cheap ) to take a train into the Centre of Birmingham. Ample car parking on site, and friendly and helpful staff. Also plenty of eating places nearby.

Room cold, wet room large but had no hooks for towels or anywhere to put toiletries.

Woken in the early hours by piss artists talking loudly outside our room in the outside area.

Easy bus ride into the city. Great beer selection in the bar. Free parking.

Could do with the rooms painting. Plus, when we arrived, ours smelt of cigarette smoke. Very poor breakfast, no bacon, no mushrooms. It's not worth the extra money for breakfast. Did complain about this on Sunday morning.

The first room we were offered had an old, saggy & uncomfortable mattress. The staff were very helpful & offered us another room, where the mattress was adequate. I still needed to lay a folded towel over the mattress to stop the plastic bits digging into me. The shelving for clothes had not been cleaned. Bathroom clean, but could do with somewhere to hang towels. The owners must invest money into the accommodation as the place desperately needs updating.

There were no closers on the room doors, so I was awaken at 8am by next door when they vacated their room. The mattress on double bed wasn't great and was quite uncomfortable to sleep on but the single bed was OK. There was a wall tile missing in the bathroom above the wc.

It was fine.

Comfortable and functional, not fancy but totally fine for what I paid and did its job as a room for the night. The bar was busy and seemed nice, we didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that.
