The location is as expected in quite an industrial area. Still a lovely view across the estuary and it was quiet.

One of the beds in the second bedroom is not ideal and is limited by the room configuration. If you are only using the principal bedroom, this will be of no concern.

Could do with a refresh, holes in bathroom where shelf had been, holes in walls behind doors caused by door handles, lots of the slats in the blinds missing

Great view, reasonably priced. A little industrial and about 25 min walk into town, but both acceptable as we were aware. Nice pots, pans, etc and new carpets. Comfortable beds.

The facilities in the property wheee dated and could have been renewed. Kitchen utensils etc the spatula had no handle and was difficult to use and the towels were very old but usable all the same. I wasn’t given the check in details or the Wi-Fi code because she couldn’t confirm we had paid so our early check in turned into a late one because we weren’t told the key code and messages were sporadic.

The twin room was very cramped and the second bed was a very saggy camp bed that was highly uncomfortable. The alternative was the sofa bed that was also not fit to sleep on. The shower ran hot and cold whilst using The view in one direction is stunning bit you are essentially in the middle of a noisy boat yard

The property is quite tired overall, and would benefit from brightening up, though we were expecting that from other reviews we had read. The beds are both fairly uncomfortable though do the job, and the curtains were coming unhooked or were too short. The TV remote wasn’t working well when we were there but could just need new batteries. There is only a shower in the en-suite which was fine for us but if you came to stay with friends it would mean going through someones bedroom to wash. Most of the taps are quite loose, as are the dining room chairs. The front door is very difficult to lock/unlock. A spruce up/modernisation would massively improve this apartment, but any complaints are only from a visual perspective really.

We stayed in the ground floor garden apartment for a holiday with our dog. The apartment was spacious with 2 double bedrooms, an en-suite, a kitchen, a lounge/diner and a toilet. The garden was a good size for our dog to do his business - there was a slight view of the harbour which our dog enjoyed looking out onto. The apartment is in a good location, walking distance to the Appledore harbour, however was noisy in the front bedroom early morning, likely due to local fishermen/industrial work as it is located very close to industrial buildings. The property was easy to access with a key-safe.

The apartment is a little tired and the owner has been informed of issues including the need for the shower to be checked - ran hot and cold after a few minutes. Would we stay here again - definitely!

Magnificent view of the river with views of local industry, boats and countryside but The apartment needs updating. Rusty radiators, mismatched crockery and cutlery and holes in the wall in the bathroom. It all needs a bit of tlc

Great having two balconies and a separate living room, with very comfy sofas, from the kitchen. Location next to the estuary was great, maybe a little too far away from the town for some people but we didn't mind the walk. People working in the fish market were friendly too.

the exterior and stairs were dingy and need updating. The location is not near to amenities and off putting sited next to garage and factory. The lounge furniture one settee is uncomfortable.

only one bathroom (shower) and its ensuite to only one bedroom so the other bedroom the person has to walk through your bedroom to access the shower so not great for that- and would like to see a couple of tea bags and sachets of coffee as we had nothing - realise its self catering but usually a welcome tea/coffee milk is unhand if you land late in. think its suited for a couple really . its workable though .:)

was quite private safe, and clean and owner was helpful. loved Instow just the otherside of Appledore harbour Quay- And 'Johns" meat pasty and the veg are lovely and fresh and the lattes are amazing

As someone else mentioned, the lights in the living room are very bright so a dimmer switch might be useful. Not really much to complain about !

I stayed in slipway , which is the ground floor apartment. Although it doesn't have the far reaching views , it does have a very pleasant little garden which does have a view across the estuary. The apartment is very clean and cosy. The kitchen is perfectly adequate. A very nice place to stay and the 10 minute wander into town is very pleasant. I will come back.
