Great view of South Bay beach from our room. The staff were very relaxed and welcoming to us and our dog. The dog wash in the basement is fantastic and there’s a bike wash too! A really good idea for a hotel. Oh and free cake every afternoon!

Not having a reception desk felt like there was something missing. An option for self check in/out plus a desk for queries would be good. The lift next to our room was quite noisy, earplugs were needed. A parking permit for those storing luggage and staying in Scarborough on check-out day woukd have been a bonus.

Everything was fantastic, staff lovely, even the cleaner went out of her way to be super helpful and informative. We were allocated the disabled room 102 so had lots of space. The relaxing lounge with free drinks was also lovely to enjoy, and if I return with my boy we will use the cinema room.

Lumpy pillows!

Properly dog friendly. Loved the cake and drinks machine in an afternoon. Great walk to beach and the woodland garden walkway by hotel was handy for evening toileting for our dog. Adored the decor, very clever theme.

Nothing at all wrong with the property everything was spot on. Apart from in the morning we had a knock on our door around 9.30am assuming it was housekeeping then again another knock at 10.30am to which I was getting dressed and collecting our things to go when check out is 11am… surely would it not be better for staff to have a system in place to check downstairs which rooms have been vacated then housekeeping can be notified which rooms are empty and can clean.

Great location and Free parking was an added bonus!

perfect for a quality stay with dogs, the staff are very pleasant and to say it is a hotel that allows dogs it has no bad smells. Highly recommend and have booked to return in the summer. The cherry on the cake was the free dog baths in the basement that even provided shampoo and towels for them.

Could have been informed that scaffolding was in place therefore very restricted sea view. I obviously paid extra for the sea view so was disappointed.

The room we were in was a little noisy, couldn't work out what it was I think we may have been next to a service elevator or something. Only from 8.00 it was fine through the night.

Good location close to town and seafront, easy self checkin for people arriving late. Really comfortable beds and a great hot powerfull shower

The facilities and ease of being able to take our Labrador anywhere in the hotel. We had evening dinner at the hotel and our dog accompanied us into the restaurant. The food was excellent. Didn’t have breakfast as it’s a continental type breakfast which is ok now and again. The dog cleaning/showering/grooming area is in the basement accessed via a few steps outside. It’s amazing, warm , clean and spacious. There is a small footbridge over the side road which accesses pedestrian glen type walking areas for the dog.

The lift wasn't working and I wasn't notified until it was too late or I would have cancelled the stay. I struggle with my mobility and as I was on the second floor and the stairs are narrow it put a real damper on the visit from the start. There were a few other little niggles so I asked to speak to the CEO and he was very understanding and refunded me 50% of the stay.

None of the rooms had baths; but this didn't spoil our stay, I do enjoy a soak after a days walking
