We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe accommodation called quite late on to advise that the bar was to be closed, without offering any reasoning as to why. The gent I spoke to was quite unpleasant when advising he needed payment over the phone, as opposed to paying on arrival. It also left us with no option for food (the hotel is quite remote) when arriving after a 4 hour journey.

United KingdomWe wanted to get a drink at 5pm and.the pub was shut. The room was so hot even with a fan so for that reason we didn't sleep well. Wanted cold water to wash my face as so hot and came out so hot and couldn't have cool shower either

United KingdomThe kitchen closed at 8pm on a Friday evening, we weren’t offered dessert, told breakfast wasn’t an option as the chef had hurt his back and the room rate is the same whether you have breakfast or not ? This is ridiculous. The pub on its website states it offers “10 bed and breakfast rooms”
The room was lovely clean and comfortable however there was an awful drains smell coming from the bathroom! The check in process was awful and very unwelcoming. We weren’t asked about booking breakfast which we definitely booked included in the room rate.

United KingdomSlight smell in bathroom (room4). I asked if I could use extend my check out between 30mins to 1 hour and emailed in advance and stayed before and done similar thing. This was confirmed by a member of staff who spoke to manager. On the morning of check out a lady was very abrupt and rude, saying you can't do it, even though I'd had it confirmed, to be honest her attitude was terrible, considering I'd spent nearly £300 on stay and beverage, not very good customer relations, attitudes like that will turn people off. She should have checked facts before being abrupt, after all the customer pays the bill to keep people in jobs.
