We asked for early check-in originally at an extra cost, but upon arrival our room was only half ready with used sheets and towels still on the floor. We were even an hour late to what we had originally stated so I imagine if we had arrived on time the room wouldn't have been ready at all which is a shame as everything else was really nice.

Nicely decorated room, spacious, lovely bathroom, comfy bed, good facilities and yummy breakfast.

The only one negative comment is that it is very noisey throughout the night but as the pub is in the middle of the square it’s inevitable although problem solved as soon as I closed the window. I’m a light sleeper anyway so I’d imagine it might not be a problem for others.

I enjoyed everything about my stay. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The room was surprisingly perfect. It was clean, modern and very comfortable. It had everything you’d expect imcluding hairdryer, iron/ironing board, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, electric fan and functioning TV. Unfortunately I didn’t stay for breakfast so cannot comment on the food. I wanted to extend my stay but unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate me. I will definitely return.

Pub downstairs closes at 10pm. Once required re - entry, need to ring a number which is situated on door. Wasnt too much of a pain but if keep nipping out can be annoying.

Excellent Value for money, right in the centre of Aylesbury. Staff trained to a high level of customer service.

Young staff on reception, pleasant enough, but not very professional! We found the hotel locked and the bar shut when we arrived back at 10.25pm! It took over 5 mins for someone to answer the door bell!

Very comfortable room and modern bathroom with large shower. Every amenity catered for - tea and coffee making facilities, good hairdryer, toiletries, tissues and air-conditioning. Lovely full English breakfast.

The Breakfast was good, but the service was terrible. Unable to make scrambled egg, The milk was missing, No tea bags, until i asked for them. Another guest left, due to them waiting forever to be served. We had to call a number after 10pm to gain access to the rooms, which is something i haven't had to do for years.

The rooms were modern and clean and the hotel is central to town. Check in was straight forward and quick.

The bar area is a little tired and would benefit from a make over Bar closed early on Friday night - however if customers are not there you can't really question the decision to close early

Good location in the centre of Aylesbury Easy 10 min walk from the rail station - long stay car park (Exchange Street) 5 mins walk Good for the Waterside Theatre Ample size room and bathroom - good shower - modern fittings Good, cooked to order breakfast Stayed here previously

The staff at the check in were not very welcoming at all. Also the bed was uncomfortable. There was just a quilt . I like a cotton sheet underneath the quilt., Also the bed was not long enough for me, and I am only just 6 feet tall.

The Breakfast was very good . The room was spacious and the shower was modern and excellent.

the pub itself looks like a work in progress, and some very ropey customers in there, which you really cannot do much about.

the room had everything you could want and everything was of high quality. The food was very good there, and the Full English was amazing!

There was a problem with the key machine so I had to keep going up and down stairs to check if the key was working (not good with bad knees). We had to bring our own bags back down to be left until things were sorted out. Although the room was exceptionally clean I found some kind of medical pill on a light fitting by the bed!

The room was small but very clean and tidy. Lots of extras included which was a wonderful surprise.

Breakfast was very basic and several of the usual types of breakfast foods were unavailable, i.e. fruit and yoghurt. Apparently a delivery was late. We thought it would have been fairly easy to get some from a local supermarket as the hotel is situated in the centre of Aylesbury.

Room very stylishly decorated, lovely bathroom. Interesting old building with information about local history on display to add context.

    1) The TV was fixed at the window end of the wall facing the bed and couldn't be adjusted (i.e. no push-out arm) so the only place I could watch it from was the edge of the bed on that side! 2) There was nowhere to hang the hand towel by the basin so I had to sort of 'drape' it over the basin or put it on the shelf above where there already was my stuff and the hotel-provided shower gel, spare toilet roll, etc., also there was nowhere to hang the bath towel near the shower and only a small heated towel ladder at the opposite end of the long bathroom which was hidden when door was open. 3) Sadly my room was on the top floor up several flights of stairs, which was a bit of a struggle, but as it is a listed building that can't be changed.

Room quite nice and properly cleaned, bed very comfortable, tea/coffee tray very good as included coffee bags as well as usual Nescafe 'tubes'. and delicious white choc chip cookies. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful.

No dedicated car park, so worth noting that you will need to park in a public car park overnight. The hotel is on top of the ground-floor pub, although there was relatively little noise from that. There was some outside noise as a result of a food van parked up overnight serving food.

Very central location, rooms were modern and clean. The surrounding location was very nice, and there were a number of restaurants and bars nearby. It was convenient for us as we were only in town for one night.

The hotel was rather run down. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls with multiple patches of paint scuffed on the stairway leading up to the rooms. The room itself was really well presented although room 205 you can’t actually sit on the toilet seat without crushing your legs (I am a 5ft 5’ woman) so I did have to sit sidesaddle which was quite amusing.

Central location, reasonably priced. staff very friendly. Breakfast delicious

It’s a pub in the middle of town. Not somewhere I’d take the wife but perfectly adequate for a work overnighter. They actually cook your breakfast to order which for me is a big plus. Friendly, helpful staff.
