Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomRoom was dated and marks on walls and net curtain. Bathroom small and bath chipped. Breakfast wasn’t the best, no fried eggs, tomatoes or hash browns. Tinned mushrooms, not fresh. No car parking on site so had to pay £69 for 2 nights car parking in multi story opposite 😩.
Situated in ideal location, and sea view was a massive bonus

United KingdomFree Wi- fi literally only available in Reception Area😏 I thought there was a bar and restaurant on site, however although owned by hotel restaurant was next door and didn't feel could just go in there to have a drink. If you're disabled and need to use a lift, I'd get a ground floor room as lift is a very small, quaint cage door design 🤣

United KingdomThe bathroom, could use a bit of renovation - loose toilet roll holder, chipped tiles etc. And cramming a shower into an old Georgain basement is never good. Way to short for a proper shower. Not the end of the world but irritating.
Staff were great, the breakfast was also very good indeed and of course a great location.

GuernseyIt’s not that we didn’t like it’s just the rooms and stair cases are very tired, but the rooms are clean big and have all amenities. The lift is extremely unique and possibly part of the original building, very small in deed but does its job. The windows are evidently old, hence not much soundproof in place, we stayed during a very windy period and this could be heard throughout the night. If you require Wi-Fi , this is only available in the lobby and restaurant area. This is as it says a 2 star hotel in a very good location. The friendly staff make this hotel a nice place to say.
This is a big hotel with a lovely lobby/reception and nice restaurant to have the substantial complementary breakfast, the staff are lovely, helpful and make you feel very welcome. The breakfast is good and prepared fresh each day. We would stay at this hotel again and would recommend to friends & family requiring a cheap break in vibrant Brighton. The hotel is crying out for room and stair case refurbishment and could then make at least 3 stars.
