Central heating system was a bit noisy. but it's an old hotel with an old system. We just turned off the radiator before going to sleep and it was quiet enough.

Great hotel. Great location. Simple and effective. Good base for a few days stay.

The location is great in Minehead. Right by the train station, a stones throw from the beach and on the road with plenty of shops and pubs. The breakfast, which was included was great quality, freshly cooked by apprentices learning the trick of the trade. Big thumbs up to them. Will definitely be back

Our room was tucked around the corner and for the whole stay there was dirty linen in the corridor. To be fair we didn't mention it to the staff.

The staff are lovely here and the food and location is excellent. We understand it is a training hotel but we always have a good stay and good food etc.

The only downfall is there is no lift, my husband uses a walking stick and awaiting further knee surgery so found the stairs difficult but we only stayed overnight before driving home so didn't have any suitcase to carry, otherwise it was lovely

There was nothing I didn't like about the beach hotel.

The large room, the bath with plenty of hot water. The vegetarian breakfast was amazing. Pleasant and helpful staff always at hand. The view and the peacefulness and the easy parking made our stay perfect.

Very friendly staff - i was given a warm welcome and told all the info I needed. The location is right on the waterfront but still close to the town. Comfortable room - maybe not the most modern but clean, well equipped and with a comfortable bed. Great breakfast.

Would like to see gluten-free sausages and not sure of what food was available In the evening. Possibly a missed opportunity, but my fault , I did not ask.

Room could have done with table and chairs as nowhere to sit apart from on the floor/beds, we certainly got a leg workout as the room was top floor and no lift, (not complaining, you just need to be fit) Didn't get a room refresh which was unusual as most hotels check the room at least once during customer stays, we ended up buying necessary supplies for room and left 2 rubbish bags as the bin was not emptied once, shower could do with a handrail on wall to aid getting into the bath, shower itself went from one extreme to the other, little power to it either, Breakfast eggs had runny white which put me off instantly, no visible option of toast either...

View was spectacular, staff were always friendly, one in particular was exceptionally helpful, can't remember her name unfortunately, but she was young, dark hair, glasses, always smiling. Location to bus/heritage railway was practically on the doorstep, shops and supermarkets were well within reach, if it wasn't so difficult to get there without a car/liking for being squished like sardines on public transport, we would love to come back again. Bacon Brioche was brilliant!

The location was great for starting the coast path walk. The room with sea view was wonderful. Breakfast was great but it would be good to be given choices and some detail of what was included.

Was put in a room without a sea view even though we paid extra for it and couldn't close the window. Staff where great though and quickly put us into another room so it wasn't a big deal. Only other minor detail was the coffee pot wasn't cleaned out in our room we eventually got but the rest of the room was very clean.

Room was nice with a good view nicely situated close to see front. Nice large cups with plenty of tea making facility's. Breakfast was lovely. WiFi was excellent in our room.

The bar chiller broke so we were served warm lager and cider. I made do with the larger, but when my son asked for a cold alternative the bar manager wanted to charge him the extra. Unfortunately it wasn't the best bar experience. The bar staff could definitely offer better service.

All great. Only minor quibbles - no milk in room, no WiFi code until went down to reception but really easily sorted by staff
