There was nothing we did not like but more tea bags would be welcome in room

Very warm and friendly welcome from Ann. Spacious yet cosy and tastefully decorated suite -super comfortable bed- with lovely view toward town hall. Very close to main square. We were lucky with the weather but had it been raining we would have happily sat and read on fab sofa in our suite. We ate in the first night. Gorgeous steak pies made by pub's talented chef. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious too. Nice atmosphere in attractive pub. Not loud, just right. All in all, it's a great place to stay in Masham. Thank you Ann and Rob.

Loved our room. Big, comfortable bed and great shower. The beer was excellent and the food served in the bar exceeded our expectations. The staff were all friendly and welcoming plus the bar has a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend and we will look to return next time we're in Masham.

We booked an evening meal for 7.30 not knowing the kitchen closed at 8.30. We felt we were rushed to eat our meal and were told if we didn't order our dessert we wouldn't get one because the kitchen would be closed!

Really lovely room. Parking opposite on road or close by in market place. Free WiFi. Stayed 2 nights and found it very comfortable. Great location. We did the brewery tour 5 minutes walk away.

Fabulous two night stay. Couldn't have been more comfortable and well catered for. Lovely pub in a wonderful location. The food on the menu in the evenings is really good quality. Thoroughly recommend the tasty pies and the draught ales are magnificent, arriving just yards from the two breweries in town. Lovely friendly people running the pub. Faultless. Thank you very much.

The location is superb, as were the welcoming staff - Erik, and the owner Ann. The mini fridge in the room is a nice touch for keeping the fresh milk in. Also, ample tea, coffee etc supplies on the landing.

Stairs very steep and narrow not suitable for the infirm or disabled. No served breakfast but free tea/coffee facilities along with yoghurt and light snacks. Food not served on Wednesday or Thursday but given good advice where to reserve a table for dinner.

Centre of town. No on-site parking but plenty os spaces on adjacent square, £1 honesty box. Reasonably priced. Staff most pleasant and helpful with advice. Large en-suite comfortable bedroom. Excellent beers in the bar, locals very friendly and willing to engage in conversation.

Just one wee niggle was a particularly annoying dog who kept barking every time he was in the bar but it's only a very minor thing

The Bay Horse is an absolute gem of a place. Rob and Ann who run it are lovely and great fun. The room was spotless and very comfortable, food was great, tasty and filling. We will definitely be back.

The window in the lounge section (large double room) would not close and being situated on the main road this meant it was noisy with passing traffic meaning our sleep was disturbed.

Lovely room, clean with comfortable bed and tv with streaming services. Good Central location in Masham. Beautiful views from the windows. Staff were very friendly.

Great room - very spacious. Top floor gave lovely view of the distant hills. We didn’t want breakfast but the host supplied yoghurt in our mini fridge and lovely biscuits that were appreciated. A lovely Yorkshire pub serving local beer - what more does one need

My wife and I stayed at The Bay Horse for one night, having enjoyed a previous visit in 2022. Checking in was easy. The room was spacious, clean and great value for money. The Bay Horse overlooks Masham Square so there is excellent access to the surrounding village. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.
