Absolutely outstanding! The hotel is very clean, well-maintained and stylishly decorated (Victorian-style). The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were received very warmly. The hotel has a tavern - a typical real English pub, which is incredibly impressive. The pub is a must visit on a match day. For tourists who want to be at the Aston Villa match, there is no better place to stay. Definitely recommended! Excellent English breakfast

Heating in the room wasn't switched on, despite low outside temperature during the night.

Location is relatively practical for getting into the city centre and within walking distance of Aston Hall and Villa Park. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

A very wonderful and cozy place. The breakfast was traditional, but tasty with a really generous portion. Special thanks to Tony, who responded to our request and advised the most convenient way to quickly get to the city center. The nearest station is only a 5-minute walk away, which is very convenient .

Nothing really, I'd only say that from the outside of the property you can't tell how beautiful it is inside. I would highly recommend to anyone on the fence to go ahead and book!

The Aston Tavern is such a beautiful building and the room I stayed in was just as breathtaking. I personally loved it's traditional, eclectic aesthetic and extremely comfortable beds. The bathroom was gorgeous with a great shower and complimentary Clarins products! There was a lot of choice at breakfast and the staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I would most definitely stay at the Aston Tavern again when return to Birmingham.

A little more freedom as we needed to be let out of the hotel and Tony had to let us in when we returned but he was very quick to respond. Too ad the bar was closed but all minor inconveniences

The breakfast was excellent, as were the staff. Because of my long journey home, I was given sandwiches to take with me and was offered other provisions to take with me. The room was comfortable and spacious.

The location to Villa Park was amazing as we were there for an away game, only 7 minuets walk! The staff could not do enough for us and the rooms were well appointed and exceptionally clean.
