Wi Fi could be better

Very fresh and clean property, in a great location for exploring the seafront and Old Town. Had a very comfortable stay for a long weekend. Would definitely return if staying in the area again!

We liked the property very much, it was tastefully decorated with a nice big living room and a big kitchen. The flat was very warm all the time which was good and had very good water pressure in the shower. It was good to have Netflix on tv

Really can't think of any negatives. Fabulous.

What a beautiful place to stay. Wow factor sitting room. Parking available in the public carpark right opposite. Perfectly placed for shops, restaurants (recommend Bella Napoli & Kingfisher) and for visiting The Carlise (rock venue). The apartment is stunning. Minimally, yet tastefully furnished, so it is uncluttered and shows off its fantastic Grade II detail. Perfectly decorated with heritage colour paintwork. Some great modern artwork. Very spacious, but felt warm and comfortable. Functional, clean and modern bathroom & kitchen. Bedroom at the back of the building, with a very comfortable bed and not a sound at night. Thick walls with the ruined castle hill rising behind the Crescent, we were fascinated looking out of all the windows. We happened to meet the owners, who were both friendly and polite. Wouldn't hesitate to book this accommodation if we went to Hastings again.

The Wifi only worked for me in the corridor near the bathroom and the bedroom. I got no Wifi and no signal at all in the kitchen/living room area.

I loved the size of the space. And the bed is the most comfortable I’ve slept on in years!

Everything was fine, only the website should be updated to show the actual price of 24 hours' parking at Pelham Place, which is super convenient, but now costs £10.90.

Stylish, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, peaceful retreat. Especially appreciated the lady downstairs who looks after the flat, the personal touch. The owners have gone to great lengths to make everything welcoming and functional, including mitigating the pigeon problem mentioned by other reviewers; it really was not an issue.

As you first enter, the living room/kitchen area holds the smell of "old house". We stopped noticing it after a couple of airings though.

Very beautiful and spacious apartment, equipped with everything necessary and more. Location is to die for. Hastings is a beautiful city, we will definitely come back.

It wasn't a problem for us as it was very hot while we were there, but people should be aware these beautiful buildings are built right in front of the cliff, which means the back of the apartment is quite dark and cool.

Really well located to explore the old town of Hastings, you can see the beach from the living room. It's beautifully decorated and the owners have obviously spent time thinking about all the details. The kitchen is well equipped for a couple. Communication with the owners was great, and self check in and check out was easy. The bed is very comfy, the bathroom is clean and well designed, and the living room is a fantastic space to enjoy. I would definitely stay again.

Just needs a small coffee table for the lounge to put a tray or cuppa of tea when relaxing on the sofa!

I always check reviews, (hopefully they are genuine). One reviewer stated there was some strange noises coming from neighbours above. I agree, but through experience the noises may have come from a neighbouring house/s?. For the most part, the noises were not loud. The bathroom had some remnants/shaving stubble on the washbasin. And the Fridge needs a regular clean and defrost (for the freezer box).

Artists Retreat is about as central as you can get, even if it does not look that way on google maps. The apartment is Amazing, Really Cool!. If you're a Photographer or into Filming, Artists Retreat is a 'live-in Location'.

A note that parking is £11 per day. There is a pigeon that can be heard outside early in the morning.

Was surprised by cleanliness. Stayed before and was fine . This time everything initially looked ok BUT the living room floor really dirty. The normally shiny wood floor had a surface of grime making it dull and grey. I wiped a small area with damp cloth and tissue was black. Also mirror lampshades and other details thick dust. Bathroom bedroom spotless

The location was great! A nice view of the sea and a short walk into town. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was amazing value for money.

Milk was promised on arrival, but they forgot. Could also do with a couple of blankets as it was quite cold.

The location was superb, overlooking the sea, and a short walk for a swim. Perfect.
