Lovely comfortable room within a cosy pub atmosphere

Only draw back for some may be steep stairs and sometimes difficult for parking but the wonderful staff carried our suitcases up and down the stairs for us

Beautiful location. Perfect Cotswolds pub. Room and facilities are wonderful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and good value. Breakfast included was very generous and the perfect start to the day. Whilst not obligated to eat dinner there, they graciously hold a table for each night, and the meals were exceptional. Really enjoyable stay

We loved our stay at the Angel! Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious and we also had dinner there in the pub garden which we thoroughly enjoyed. The location was perfect, we highly recommend.

Cute old building with roomy, comfortable, clean and character filled rooms. Excellent food and a lovely beer garden ... short walk to an interesting main street with good local products. What more could you want in the Cotswalds.

Only our preference, however the bed and pillows were not to our liking. Though clean, good quality etc..

The staff were exceptional, so welcoming, friendly and took complete care of us. The food was delicious, particularly breakfast which was a real treat to order from a menu. The hotel and room decor had character, and the garden beautiful. The location is great also, with character, quaint shops, nice walks. We will definitely return and would highly recommend. Thank you to staff for making our stay perfect.

The room is NOT SOUNDPROOF AT ALL. Must be the floorboards because the corridor right outside the room was quieter. It did quiet down by 11pm but not ideal if you're an early sleeper! My pillow was also extremely lumpy.

The room was very modern, clean and nice. The complimentary refreshments were a nice touch. The breakfast was also amazing as was the guy who served us in the morning!

Quite steep stairs ( I have bad hips )

The room was lovely, clean comfortable and quite , the bed was very comfortable,I ate in the bar in the evening which was delicious and then had a lovely breakfast in the morning, the hotel was handy for the main st in Burford and the staff were great , a very nice stay and I would stay there again .

Public on-street parking was available but distance from the hotel was a lottery. We were warmly welcomed and promptly taken to our room, which had views over the street to other rural properties. Very close to the town for browsing the many interesting shops and getting out for country walks. Cosy place by the log burner for pre-dinner drinks. Excellent menu selections. Breakfast offered at sensible time.

This is a perfect example of a well run, cosy, friendly, pub with nice comfy rooms and well-cooked, tasty meals which are restaurant standard
