No WiFi in the rooms, it’s a very basic no frills hostel, the bathroom was mostly very clean but some grass was left behind.

Very conveniently close to station, no frills, had all the basics.

Cheap stay in the heart of Newcastle what's not to like. Enjoyed our stay, yes it's a hostel but I've stayed in worse places. Staff we're amazing showers were nice & hot, lounge area was tidy & clean.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Help me got my missing bags at National Express. Just one thing to improve the WiFi connection to sleeping rooms.

I absolutely loved the location, staff were incredible and so helpful a lovely lady with ginger hair (i didnt catch her name unfortunately) helped me so much and allowed me to store my luggage on my check out day as my train wasn't until later on and I wanted to go out to the city. My room was a 6 bed but only 3 of us for the entire of my stay, Kody and Ellie were the best roomates I could of asked for everyone makes you feel so included despite being 18 and everyone else alot older than me : ) I'd 110% book this again which I may do for an upcoming concert in the city. My only issue was underneath the beds were very dirty and could do with a clean. Other than that it was spotless tones of room for storage you just need to bring your own padlocks (which I did) or you can borrow them for a few pound.

Creaky doors!

Excellent location. Cheap. Clean. Stayed previously but never visited kitchen/common room area before, so this time was very impressed with facilities offered. Matt on the front desk was very friendly, helpful, hospitable and welcoming. He was full of great local tips. It's a shame there are not more Albatross Hostels around England!

Stayed along Hadrian's Wall hike. Staff were friendly and check-in was easy with key-card outer and room doors. Place was large and had a common room/kitchen. Rooms had lockers as a bonus.

Inappropriate comments made by another guest - but this was not the hostel’s fault. Felt the room needed a touch up as the ceiling paper was peeling with obvious signs of water.

Staff very friendly, check in was easy. Lock on front door meant that I felt quite secure. The hostel was also in the centre of the city so everything I wanted to see was close by.

The blinds in the room that I stayed in didn't shut properly. Ideally, this needs to be fixed to ensure privacy. You need a bell at reception to contact staff when no one is manning the desk.

Very friendly staff. Quiet and clean room. Facilities were excellent. Quick walk from Newcastle station. Would definitely recommend and I'll be returning to stay again!

Rooms were very basic. Just bunk beds and lockers. No vanity area, mirror or desk or chair. Power plugs were at floor level so if on top bunk you would need Andrea long charger cable. Would have liked each bunk to have a storage shelf with usb power points and power plug. The top bunks did have a canvas pocket to place your phones or anything small you wanted kept near you.

Location was perfect. Centrally located to all events in town I was attending.
