Waking up to a beautiful sea view ! Lovely hotel I was here for a wedding. Plenty of parking round the back. Staff kindly let me store my bags behind reception until I could check in after ceremony.

Though requested quiet room the noise from bar/function room vibrated in room so couldn't stay in room in evening we had to go out until music stopped around 11.30pm.

Great location & in walking distance of beach & restaurants. Lovely tea rooms at hotel & large bar area. Plenty of parking.

Hearing was a bit hit and miss! Cold the first night - boiling the second night! Did ask for them to put heating on the first night and they did.

Location was great - right by the seafront Not too far from the city centre which was handy!

The room was big with plenty of space to walk around,really comfortable bed with soft pillows.Great view out to sea,location is good if you like walking by the coast.

The room was too expensive for what it was. It was also right next to a hallway door which squeaked everytime someone opened it. It was busy so this was often! Walls were also very thin so a lot of noise from drunken guests. The bedroom had a view of an alleway and ladder which was just not nice and again would expect a lower price for this. We come to sunderland every year and honestly wouldn't return to this hotel which is a shame as its literally next to the venue we visit.

I liked the location on the beachfront and a nice bar attached. The room was nice, clean,and had a large bath which was great. Complimentary shampoos etc and tea/coffee. Which was lovely.

Dusty on most eye level and higher surfaces (bedside lamps, mirror in main room etc) The room in which we stayed was down several sets of narrow stairs level with the side street where goods vehicles made deliveries early in the morning so if you're a light sleeper these rooms would not be suitable for you.

The bar staff at the wedding were pretty glum,barely cracked a smile even when i tried to have a little banter with them. Room was way too hot,and no plug socket nxt to the bed,only 2 in the room.

Just 3 breakfast choices and hotel can use a good make-over and paint.

Hotel looks a bit outdated, but I care nost about a good bed and a good breakfast which they offered. So I'm happy, but wished I could choose everything for breakfast myself.

noise from the corridor floor and doors. The sound from the party music below was very disturbing. there were no rooms available where it was not with its impact of sleep for those looking for an early sleep. if there were rooms not above then disco these could perhaps be reserved for those not attending the party?

I asked for a quiet room because I travelled up for football and then home early but was woken up several times during the night with people coming in and doors slamming
