Excellent clean and cosy cottage in an excellent location , loved the under floor heating . The location is perfect only ten minutes from the M6 and only 30 minutes from Lake Windermere, lovely hosts too

The property did not disappoint , it was well equipped with everything you could want (including an air-fryer)😁 It was spotlessly clean and high standard’s of decor and fresh linens . Also sound proofed .. was so quiet Kate the owner came to introduce herself and couldn’t be more helpful. Will definitely stay again !

Nothing to really be picky about.

The quiet location. It was like a home from home, with all that you needed to settle in smoothly. A garden that I felt at ease to allow my dog to roam without constant surveillance was a god send. The pleasant and friendly owners were lovely.

Very picky, but I'm a lady who travels with a lot of lotions and potions. A little more space in the bathroom would have been nice. But there were heaps and heaps of drawers in the bedroom.....so it balanced out.

Everything was perfect. The property is spacious and very comfortable. I didn't use the air-fryer but I'm sure for some people it would be a treat. I loved having a washer, tumble-dryer and freezer available. Totally clean. All questions answered quickly....even silly ones! Great shower. Fabulously equipped kitchen. Everything we looked for was there. Spacious parking. Easy to work TV (they aren't all!!). Good Internet. Lovely location away from any busy area. I enjoyed seeing the horses wandering by.

Swallow cottage was idyllic. It was quiet and peaceful and was perfect in every way. Kate ( the host) checked I had everything I needed on arrival and was there when I left. So much attention to detail had been put into the cottage. There wasn't anything that you could fault. We will definitely return.

Lovely quiet area with lots of privacy. Cottage has everything you will need to enjoy your staff and is within a 10-minute drive to local pubs for food .The Royal Oak food was fantastic and recommended.

Nothing- everything was perfect!

This is the most gorgeous little place, I stayed with my daughter and our dog over Christmas and we had the most wonderful break. It’s so quiet and peaceful, perfect if you want to just escape for a few days. Kate and Ryan are fabulous hosts, super friendly and helpful, Kate even dropped us off at the pub on Xmas Eve as we couldn’t get a taxi! We will definitely be returning as we would love to see it during the summer. The garden is plenty big enough for the dogs to have a run around, it is enclosed however my 6 month old mini schnauzer seems to be a bit of an escape artist and managed to go off exploring, She didn’t go far but is rather nosy so had a little wander around the farm. The place has everything you need and was toasty warm when we were there, the under floor heating is 👌🏼 Get it booked… you won’t be disappointed!!

Mattress not that comfortable felt as if lost it's firmness

Great communication from owner and easy to follow directions to property. Friendly and welcoming host. Beautiful rural location but only 10 mins drive to nearest facilities. It's evident to see a lot of hard work and love has gone into swallow cottage, lovely views and so quiet. Easy parking, great to have the drying room and plenty of private garden area to enjoy. A little gem of a find. Already recommended to family and friends

Swallow Cottage is a lovely, quiet place to stay. The location is good for trips to The Lake District and Yorkshire and the surrounding countryside is definitely worth exploring. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and the fully enclosed garden is great for dogs. Parking is ample and easy. Would not hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Location of the property and facilities are excellent. We booked to have a quiet and peaceful break with our dogs and that’s what we got. We had everything we needed and more at Swallow Cottage and would highly recommend if you’re looking for a tranquil home away from home.
