Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Everything, from seeing the location that is so peaceful & quiet, to opening the door of the pod & the bathroom facilities, was just perfect for our visit. 2 black lambs & the 2 lovely horses right outside our pod were just idyllic. To be greeted by 2 scones with butter & jam to have with a much needed coffee, we sat outside enjoyed the scones & the scenery. We loved our short stay, we will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

United KingdomI had to catch one of the two buses from Penrith, and that week the provider had cut the route so it no longer went into Long Marton itself (which meant asking the driver to pull over if safe, or a walk from Appleby), and so if you're on public transport then you do have a walk for which you should be prepared for.
Such a cosy stay. There were so many details that had been considered by the owners that made the stay super comfortable and welcoming, such as availability of tea etc/milk and a scone, lamps, blankets, storage boxes, microwave, toaster, indoor table and outdoor chairs, and the electric heater. The glamping pod and the shepherd's hut are next to each other, and was told someone was in there on the same night but I didn't hear anything. Each pod has another table too where you can sit and watch the animals. Each has a private bathroom, and the heating rails were put on (wanted to turn them off to save their energy, but also it was just really cosy of an evening!) The shower was hot and well-flowing, and other bathroom details really just made it feel luxurious, including an abundance of towels. The bed was very comfy, and even though it was crisp outside, I felt secure indoors away from the wind. I was warmly greeted by Carole, even though I'd arrived early due to a helpful villager giving me a car lift off the bus, and had a little chat. I'm only sorry that I had to leave random tupperwares of food I couldn't take on my fastpack run the next morning over the Pennines! Location-wise it was stunning, with views up the hills and even across to the Lake District and the farm animals as mentioned. I was really quite impressed with how well-built and situated it all was, a lot of thought and consideration it seems went into making it a homely stay. I don't tend to spend so much on a night's stay, but it was needs must for this trip, however, anyone just wanting a little getaway would very much feel value from the per night cost (I definitely did).

It was so peaceful in the farm, the handmade scones were delicious and it was lovely and warm in the pod. We loved being so close to the lambs and watching them run around all day. The shower was wonderfully warm and clean.

We loved everything! The location was out of the way but not miles into the country side, the hut itself was clean and cosy warm, the owners are absolutely lovely, the toilets & shower area were lovely and clean and toasty warm! They even moved the sheep into the pens for some peace and quiet at night which was lovely!

United KingdomThe pod is really cute, perfect for a short stay for 2. Toasty and peaceful at night. Bathroom is right next door, so no trekking miles like some campsites. The host was friendly and pottering around if we had needed, but let us get on with it. Good location often overlooked as so close the the Lakes, but we had some lovely walks. Great stay and will be back if we can.

United KingdomLocation was lovely, pod itself was comfy and we were given free scones when we first arrived! Cutlery and kitchen essentials were all provided. Shower and toilet were clean and towels all provided for us too. Carole, the owner of sunny Mount, came out to visit us when we first arrived and made sure we were all settled. She also contacted us beforehand to make sure we found the place okay. Would 100% recommend to anyone that’s thinking of visiting!

The pod was so lovely and cosy, even when there was storm outside it stayed so warm. We had everything we needed, the bed was really comfy too. The toilet and shower is very close and the shower was great! Both the pod and bathroom was exceptionally clean and there was tea/coffee/sugar and milk! We're looking forward to returning in the summer.

United KingdomI loved everything.
The pod was in the most beautiful idyllic location. Every detail in this pod was carefully and thoughtfully thought through; Lights outside so we could find our way, a little kitchenette with home made scones and jam and cream to accompany, and a beautiful bouquet of fresh roses. Although there is no toilet in the pod, the hut right next door was such a shock, I was expecting a rustic barn style toilet, instead I was greeted with an immaculate and modern bathroom. Everything here has been thoroughly thought through. Carole was friendly and helpful. She was the perfect host. I cannot wait to return to this little haven in the countryside. Thank you Carole.

United KingdomOnly slight issue was the Mattresses were a little uncomfortable but it was glamping so to be expected.
It was set on a farm with beautiful views surrounding all sides. Very quiet and relaxing. The hosts went above and beyond with extras we didn’t expect for glamping to make the stay a nice one. Would highly recommend and amazing value for money.

United KingdomAlthough there was 2 lights on the way to the toilet that is a little walk from the pod, it could be lit up more. The door was quite difficult to lock and unlock, very stiff and sometimes took a couple tries to get the key in and unlock.
The property was excellent, warm and cosy, essential kitchen appliances for heating up meals and making teas/ coffees. The bed was comfortable, nice and clean bedding, the sheep outside the pod was a nice view to wake up to. Carole was lovely to speak to, helpful when needed and left you alone to enjoy your stay in peace, she gave the pod an extra bit of decor for our anniversary which we were thankful for.

United KingdomThere isn't really anything bad to say about it
What a beautiful location for a peaceful night or several away. This is a simple but thoughtful little place, facilities were really good and clean. The sheep were very welcoming. The directions to the property were spot on, be mindful though this location is remote you're not gonna get a Just Eats delivery to here but there is a pub a short walk into the village. Carole was an attentive host, check in was nice and simple, she explained everything to us and showed us where the facilities were. The pod was toasty warm even though the temperature has suddenly dropped this week. Comfy with everything you need, the scones were an added bonus
