The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Pooley Bridge is a beautiful place in the Lake District and the Sun Inn is central with walks from the doorstep.

Clean room, comfortable bed, fresh decoration in bedroom, staff so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, and any needs are attended to immediately. This is a really old lakeland property, with wonderful features and it's atmosphere maintained. Breakfast we were served was of a really high quality, delicious. Wayne also makes the best porridge I've tasted.

Everything was fine. Our double room was quite small, but very cosy and well equipped and very quiet (and a lovely bathroom).

The breakfasts were the best we'd had on our trip around the North of England. The landlord and itger staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. We had both our evening meals in the bar and both were great.

Great location in Pooley Bridge, access to Ullswater and the surrounding fells, there is so much to do in the area. A warm welcome and friendly hospitality, it was wonderful.

For breakfast, I'd ordered vegetarian but was surprised to find a meat sausage on my plate with the other items of food. I had to tell the kitchen staff upon which they made me a fresh (vegetarian) sausage &/ breakfast. The only other thing I didn't like was that the shower was too small. The shampoo holder (stuck to the wall with suckers) fell off the wall during my shower as I'd struck it inadvertently because of the limited space within the shower cubicle.

The room was spacious enough; The staff were friendly enough. The welcome was warm. The dining room was well prepared and the food was lovely. The bathroom was adequate and the shower easy to operate. The corridor was nice with books to read for eg Lakeland walks & a comedic book 😁 The location was idyllic being so close to the Lakeside and near to convenient pubs, one of which we paid a visit to.

Couldn't fault anything about stay apart from price which I thought was a bit expensive although is probably competitive price for area.

Breakfast and evening meals were lovely staff very friendly and helpful especially as they were extremely busy.room really nice and very clean and bed very comfortable location fantastic and didn't use car when we were there.can highly recommend but was I thought quite expensive but very popular and was for special occasion.

Good sized, cosy, single ensuite. Ample off-street, free parking. Gift shop opposite and a country walk behind. Tolerant of my over-tired dog's behaviour.

Fantastic location with lots of local walking with great views. Other local options were good and gave variety of choice for food and drink. The Sun Inn food and drink choices are varied and will meet of exceed most peoples requirements. Breakfast was especially good and just what you need if walking far. The staff are very welcoming and chatty. Well done and thank you Sun Inn.
