It was in a magical surroundings, the place was just what we needed for a relaxing time away, everything that you need was at the summerhouse, was greeted by the owners sister on arrival, very friendly and she explained everything to us made us both feel very welcome. Lovely touch with the bread and eggs , loved waking up to the chickens and cows in the next field along. Lots of books and information left by the owners in the property , Just an amazing holiday from start to finish.

Whilst not a big deal the sat nav directions keep taking me around in circles so a sign in the village or written directions for arriving would have been fantastic. Similarly I booked what I thought was accessible accommodation but there are 5-6 steep steps up (owners were great and said to use the garden) but something to be aware of if a wheelchair user.

The property is lovely and really well maintained. It’s open plan with an en-suite which was perfect for our stay. It’s very peaceful and there is privacy from the main house which is an added bonus. There was a little welcome pack to get us started and things like a full size oven and fridge made it all the more comfortable.

Nothing at all. It was so comfortable and well equipped. I’d definitely recommend and would love to stay again some time very soon.

It was spectacular! Like home from home and then some. It was so cozy and inviting. I didn’t want to go home. Kevin and Michaela were so warm and welcoming and helped me in with my bags on arrival. Eggs, bread and orange juice was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, thank you so much.

I had a wonderful stay at Glassonby Summer House, the location is beautiful ,the views are stunning. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, were available if i needed them for anything, (which i didnt, because they had thought of everything) the house is comfortable and very clean, with everything you would need. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The chickens and cats were welcome company. I couldn't have asked for a more idyllic and peaceful holiday. Thank you

Travelling all the way from London I was hoping I had made the right choice. This summerhouse however surpassed our expectations! It had everything you can ask for, it is well designed and a lot more spacious than I had imagined. The views are breathtaking and if you are looking for an escape with pure tranquility, bliss and silence then this is the place to be. We sat outside for hours in the evening enjoying the surroundings. The summerhouse itself; bed and sofa were very comfy, tv had Netflix Bbc iplayer etc (managed to watch the euros), kitchen with all the utensils, good size bathroom. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The only regret is not booking it for longer! If you genuinely want an escape then this is the place to be 😍

Isolated village with no shop for daily papers. Take all you need for your stay with you as several miles to nearest shop and not always in the direction you want to go. The Co-op in Lazonby, with street parking, is however well stocked but be early if you want a Sunday paper.

A good stop over between Scotland and home. Quite compact but very well arranged with quality furniture and equipment. Fantastic view across large garden to the Pennines and beautiful sunsets. The rescue hens laid very good eggs. Lots of information from Michaela and Kevin after a friendly welcome.

Peaceful and beautiful little haven. Clean and tidy with all of the little bits you could need for a self catering stay. The log burner was lovely to sit by of an evening. Hope to come back here again soon! Owners are lovely and around should you need anything. (The spring lambs playing in the field outside the window was a bonus!)

Absolutely loved everything here, the location is brilliant with lots to do in either walking or driving distance. The hosts kevin and michaela are polite and very welcoming. The summer house itself felt like a home from home with everything you could possibly need and more. Definitely will be coming back for more in the future.

I did make one recommendation to the hosts and this was to maybe have a look at the radiator nearest the door as it was making a constant clicking noise through the night. I am sure they will have sorted that because they were so positive and open to taking this on board. The only other thing I personally struggled with a little was the hieght of the bar stools. If you are like me and very challenged by weight then this probably wont be ideal for eating. I sat on the couch and utilised a table that was placed for effect. So no problem!

A lot of effort has gone into making this accommodation as good as it can possibly be. The layout of the room is excellent. There is a great wood burner which we enjoyed using during our winter stay! The WIFI was good and we enjoyed watching the TV from the nice seating provided. The cooking facilities are brilliant! We did not have any Ketchup and after calling the hosts they immediately brought us a bottle! The hosts are super friendly and very accommodating.
