Our apartment was a little tired, and as we had to pay a deposit for potential damages, you naturally look closer to damage when you move in. With a few minor maintenance issues and a bit of Tlc, the apartment could be deemed as good. However, the main gate was always open, which, with it being iner city it raised a concern about who would be in the court yard. The apartment had areas of damage where others had not given it the respect it deserved. With just a bit of attention to detail it could receive a 5 star review. Communication was excellent, and the details were given, spot on. A complimentary fresh tea coffee and milk would have been a nice gesture.

2 entry points to the building taxi drivers tend to wait at the wrong one. You will have to make it clear every time.

Staff are easy to contact and provide information quickly, as well as accommodating any needs. Their website to make a damage deposit was simple to use. The apartment is large with lots of facilities in all the rooms. Self checkin and living check out is simple

Could do with a bit of TLC in places - a fresh coat of paint and new wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. Overall the place was clean but it could do with a clean behind cupboards - certainly in the bedrooms.

There was a strong aroma of cannabis outside the building. The surrounding area was very run down and we had no master light in the bedroom.

Identifying the look box was a bit of a task. The area feels isolated and the communal stair case needs to be cleaned.

The area looks a bit dodgy and there were large groups of young men and women loitering outside the accommodation, it definitely had a hostel vibe about it. The entrance at the main gate was littered with cigarette butts and discarded rubbish. The accommodation wasn’t very clean, and overall it’s looking very tired. There were only 3 chairs for an apartment that sleeps 4 so one of us had to sit on the sofa to eat our dinner. There were any cups/mugs either, and we had to have a cup of tea in tall latte glasses.

Velvet apartment are great at communication, great response time and really helpful with any questions. Check in was relatively easy as you just need a code to a key box on the gates which is really handy if you are arriving late. The apartment was really lovely big, bright airy with a main bathroom and an en-suite which was handy as we were travelling with family.

Neighbourhood adjacent to busy Canal Road, necessitated ear plugs through night due to "road noise". Lift was unfortunately out of order.

Very well furnished and comfortable for a family short stay.There is good parking space and the location is perfect for shopping of basic needs during holiday. Will love to come back with my family when we visit Bradford.

The mattresses were very bad to sleep on as it looked like the springs were gone. The same can be said for the sofa in the living room which was much worse. There was also a lot of dust around the apartment which affected my allergies. I had to ask for a hoover to clean the all the dust.

Unfortunately, several negatives marred the experience. Firstly, the lack of mention of the £150 deposit on the booking.com listing led to an unpleasant surprise, exacerbated by the owner's rude and defensive attitude when addressing the issue. The cleanliness of the apartment was subpar, with various unsightly elements such as broken false nails, dusty spills, and unclean bedding. The absence of cleaning supplies left us questioning the standard of cleanliness maintained by the supposed cleaner. Moreover, the lack of basic amenities like washing up liquid and tea/coffee was disappointing. The absence of a lift meant we had to haul heavy suitcases up multiple flights of steep stairs, which was particularly challenging with a baby in tow. The dimly lit and unsanitary stairwell further detracted from the overall appeal, and safety concerns were heightened by an incident involving youths attempting to break into the building. Outside the apartment, the presence of creepy individuals deterred a sense of safety, especially for single women. Additionally, the interior of the apartment had its shortcomings, including a stained fridge and disruptions from loud parties with the unmistakable scent of cannabis seeping into the premises. In conclusion, while the apartment offered some conveniences and swift refund processes, the numerous cleanliness issues, lack of amenities, and safety concerns make it difficult to recommend, especially for solo female travelers. Significant improvements are needed to elevate the overall guest experience and ensure a more pleasant stay.

My recent stay at this apartment had its ups and downs, making it a mixed experience overall. Let's start with the positives. The decor, while okayish, was complemented by an abundance of natural light, creating a pleasant ambiance. Its central location was convenient, and the owner's assistance in carrying our bags down during checkout was appreciated. The provision of keys in a lockbox streamlined the check-in process, and I was grateful that the owner allowed me to bring my baby along. Moreover, the refund of the deposit was processed swiftly, and the fast WiFi was a bonus.

Absolutely stunning apartment! I stayed here as my wedding was in Bradford and I have to say I made a great choice when choosing this lovely apartment. I contacted Velvet Apartments to explain the reason for my stay, they have a fast response rate via emails and easily contactable if you want to speak with someone over the phone. They answered all my questions and was very accommodating to my requests. They also made it special by decorating one of the bedrooms and also left me a gift of chocolates and roses for the special occasion which was a lovely touch. The host allowed me to have some family and friends round to get ready which was one of the reasons I wanted a spacious apartment. The rooms are big and the living/kitchen space are very spacious. Overall, I would highly recommend staying with Velvet Apartments and I will definitely look to book again in the future. Thank you for making my stay special.

What an amazing experience me and my partner had. Told the host it was our anniversary and he made it one to remember. Smelt great as soon as I walked into the apartment. Everything was clean and modern the host was very accommodating will definitely be returning!

Communal areas had rubbish all over. Corridors had smelly bin bags in them. Wardrobe ready to collapse, bedding did not look clean, broken shower tray panel, basin unclean and hairs on toilet seat. The paintwork was dirty throughout.

I’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s in Bradford and I can't say enough good things about Velvet Apartments. Included all the amenities you’d require for a stay. The space was not only stylish and comfortable but also spotlessly clean. It was clear that the host had gone out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. From the linens to the bathroom, everything was immaculate. On top of that, the host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed and offering tips for things to explore in the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and unforgettable stay.
