    Nothing!

Very central for visiting Tarbert. Room was very comfortable with a lot of thought put into the furnishings. Nice touches, including iced water and cold milk available from a central fridge. Good quality tea and coffee provided. Dining area had lots of interesting artefacts which gave it a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious with choices for all tastes. The hosts were especially welcoming and great to chat to. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back sometime,

the room was out to the back and therfore did not have much of a view (not really bad as I was not in the room long during the day, but still a bit sad) and the power socket close to the bed could have been a bit more easily accessible

Marc and Aby were really friendly and welcoming, there for a good chat and tips on local areas worth a visit. great breakfast (yummy mexican porrige and vegetarian cooked) accompanied by great choice of music and lovely artwork on the walls

Being told that I wasn’t listening to all instructions when I arrived. Had just cycled 87km and was feeling very hot and tired

Breakfast was excellent, but would have been nice to have been offered a vegetarian option

Didn’t bother us at all, but quite a few stairs to the upper floor. Some older, bigger people or folks with bad knees might find it challenging. Of course the better view over the harbour makes the climb worthwhile!

Warm & friendly proprietors, good location relative to ferry docks, nice view, clean, comfortable. Wish we could’ve stayed a couple extra days. Hope to come back.

    Nothing! Spot on!

Warm welcome. Comfortable well furnished room, with lovely view (and interesting art). The breakfast was excellent, lovely independent roaster filter coffee, Mexican porridge, spot on fry and homemade marmalade and jam. Mark was flexible with a change we needed to make to our stay. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Narrow staircases to the upper rooms - a bit tricky with lots of bags but just how the building is. We were asked our prefered time for breakfast the evening before but we were up earlier than we thought - we waited a while and went down about 15 mins early and the breakfast room was locked up. We hung about but as it was raining we didnt really want to walk about outside by the harbour which we would have done to kill time, so we then rang the bell and the host let us in the breakfast room but seemed a little put out that we were early and said we'd have to wait as he wasn't quite ready. It was fine - and we didn't mind waiting as we were early but felt a little uncomfortable by his reaction - but I guess it was our fault. Our host was a nice guy though - very chatty about his art and music interests. The breakfast was lovely, good choices including Mexican porridge which my husband tried and enjoyed.

Nice b&b by the harbour. Comfortable and and welcoming host. Great breakfast.

The rooms weren't very soundproof and I could hear the extractor fans from the bedroom next-door and the separate bathroom that was next to my room (for the room across the hall). The separate bathroom seemed to be a lot less soundproofed than the bedroom the other side. Both nights the guests in the room opposite went to the toilet in the early hours and that meant two doors opening and closing quite loudly (twice) and the extractor fan going for the time they were in there plus 10 minutes or so after the light was turned off. Plus, when they flushed the toilet, it sounded like it was right by my head, as the bed was right next to that wall. No one else seems to have mentioned this in their reviews, so perhaps I'm just a really light sleeper. The taps barely overhang the sink, which makes it quite difficult to fill the kettle without a load of water going down the outside. Makes it quite difficult for washing your hands and toothbrush too.

Great location. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They called me to find out my estimated arrival time and checked I had somewhere booked for dinner (as there aren't many restaurants available). Clean, cosy room. There was always plenty of parking available on the street outside or further down the harbour. Tea, coffee and biscuits available in the room and fresh milk in a shared fridge on the landing. Tasty breakfast.
