On booking online I received an email confirming my booking. It also stated that a complimentary 1st breakfast would be provided between 07:00 and 10:00. On going through for breakfast at 07:30 there was no one around. I rang the number provided for assistance and was told the chef was ill and no food would be provided. I asked if it would be possible to have a bowl of cornflakes so the manager came to my room with cornflakes and asked how I would like to pay. I showed him the email and he seemed surprised that it stated that there would be a complimentary breakfast. He took photos of the email and left. The manager was very nice and it wasn't his fault but it left a "sour taste!"

Location was a lot further outside Cambridge than thought, it would be. When booking it was because of a hastily retreat from another location, so put into the search Cambridge, didn’t look really on how far. Room basic but clean.

Owners very pleasant, welcoming, and polite. Explained they are new owners, so working on renovating. Restaurant area amazing but menu is very limited.

The decor, no hot water in bathroom sink and having to use a dodgy code lock on the room door. Found it strange that owner took a photo of my driving licence on their phone.

The shower was very bad no pressure at all it took ages to shower.

The location was good easy to get there and parking is free which is good, The staff at the place was friendly and kind showed me to my room and give me info about things etc.

1 of the staff came and opened my room while i was still inside. Not happy. What would have happened if i was not inside.

Was a bit weird when we been told there is light breakfast serving in the morning start from 8am, we would like to get some breakfast tea before we check out but when we tried to enter the lounge is been locked and not even a single staff is around at about 9.30am.

Room narrow, very small TV. No plug sockets near bed. No bed side lamps. No telephone, No fridge, iron, hair dryer, Toilet wedged in between shower and wall. Decor grey walls with black. Doors painted gloss brown. Building work needed completing, out side is a mess. Door locks are push button code Doors. Smell of paint. Bare walls No pictures though a clock. After 11pm a mobile phone number to call if you need assistance. Doors open out to a court yard open air. No food on sale restaurant will open in 2 weeks (italian) not sure they will offer breakfast. Over all over priced for what they offer.

Room was clean, sheets and carpets clean. Bathroom clean. Beds comfortable. Kettle 2 mugs assortment of drinks. Towels and travel toiletries.

The bed didn't have enough Pillows and we had to remove a fair few spiders. The shower was very weak and either red hot or cold.

The location was perfect for where I needed to be, the gentleman on reception was very helpful and pleasant.

I don’t think that they should be charging such prices for a hotel that is unfinished- we found it a very expensive stay for a hotel that doesn’t offer all that it can yet. The bar wasn’t even in use. Nothing wrong with the room we actually stayed in though and was a comfortable night stay, but I just think they should lower their prices when the facilities around it were like a building site

I`m sure it will be a decent workable budget hotel, but clearly its not finished. There are builders there outside the room. They need to sort reading lights, bath or shower mat, bedside tables (there was one in my double room). A loose sheet on top of waterproof mattress protector means the sheet slips all over the place - they need fitted sheets on a matt mattress protector. It`s difficult to wake up to drilling at 8am outside the door. There is Wifi in public places but not the rooms. I`m sorry not to be more positive as I found the receptionist to be exceptionally helpful. I think its worth losing the terms `luxury` and de-luxe` as this will only lead to disappointment.

The man on reception was extremely friendly and helpful, and I truly wish them luck with the newly opened hotel. He carried our bags to the rooms. There are no desk/reading lamps, but he managed to find one (I think it belonged to the builder on site), otherwise there was one bright central light and the light switch was by the door. There is easy parking.

The room was comfortable no hot water from shower tried different settings as was leaving early in morning so had a cold shower instead and the automatic bathroom fan wouldn’t turn of so was on all night there still doing maintenance on the place but all in once finished will look nice and will come back at a later date

The hotel has been taken over recently so they are in the early stages of working to upgrade the facilities. Things were basic but fine. With the work they are doing it has great potential and adding little bits such as a hairdryer, and wifi would be good.

Although it was basic, it was good value for money and was perfectly positioned to allow me to walk into Papworth where I was working. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also basic but actually a bowl of cereal was all I really needed or wanted in the morning.
