Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bath, slippy when wet for showers and a high step in and out - could do with a grab rail and a non slip mat for the bath itself. Not a smart TV, would like to have had some catch up channels, eg: BBC iPlayer and ITVX
Location was convenient, within walking distance of university, we were there for an applicant day

The apartment was not only comfortable but also strategically located in a quiet neighbourhood. The facilities were top-notch, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It's a spacious two bedroom apartment, perfect for a family or a group of friends stay. Additionally, the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, contributing to a hassle-free experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay thanks to the excellent location and superb amenities.

United KingdomThere were a few minor niggles some of which would be quite easy to address, namely: The curtains in the main living room are essentially see through when the lights are on & as it's such a large window everything you do can be seen from the path outside.. There is a limit to the amount of hotwater available, so just be aware if there are 4 of you & you all want to shower / bath one after the other. Could really do with a light at the bottom of the steps as it's pitch black on the way into the property & you have to feel for the last step. Please provide instructions for the dishwasher as only got it to work after randomly pushing buttoms for 5 minutes. Finally parking. We parked outside the property overnight but you have to move the car by 8am in the morning as it's residents only parking & a parking permit is required. There is public free parking about 400m along the road, but this is restricted to 2hrs with no return for 4hrs. We did find a carpark about a 10 minute walk away at the Just Park Carpark Burley Road. On a positive note, this only cost £6.50 for 10hrs so great value. However, providing a residents permit for guests would be a real bonus. Should point out, overall we would recommend this property & would book again.
The accommodation was warm, clean & comfortable, it was reasonably quiet during day, lovely & quiet throughout the night. The beds were comfortable with plenty of clean bedding & clean towels provided. The accommodation was within walking distance of the University & reasonably central to the city centre. There is a convienience store literally 20m from the accommodation so any last minute items, wine, snacks, milk etc. just need to cross the road. In the property there was a dishwasher, washing machine & a decent sized television and overall we had a very comfortable & relaxed stay.

United KingdomOnly improvements could be an extra dust in the corners of the rooms, I saw spiders and webs in bathroom, living room kitchen and bedrooms. Also, a bulb from the light fixture in the main bedroom fell out of its holder and hit me on the head. Luckily it was not too hard and I replaced it.
Location was great for a city centre stay, in walking distance from the Rose Bowl building where I graduated. The decoration was modern, simple but everything we needed. Good value for money. Beds were particularly comfortable and a good size.

United KingdomIt wasn’t quite as clean as I’d have liked it to be - stains on the sofa and bed sheets which I suppose is unavoidable to be fair but there was other people’s hair stuck to the sofa which I think could’ve just been hoovered to make it look a bit nicer cos there was quite a big clump of hair stuck to one section. What we really struggled with was the noise coming from upstairs which at times sounded like it was coming from inside the apartment it was so loud. You could hear every footstep, a chair being moved, people going up and down stairs which was definitely on the last 2 nights when there was a particularly noisy group staying in the apartment above still banging about at 1am which wasn’t ideal when I had work early and had an important presentation to give the following day. So if you are a light sleeper or to be honest just generally need to be up early maybe consider somewhere else for that occasion. My wifi connection also dropped completely on the Wednesday I stayed. Otherwise a good stay!
It was nicely decorated, and very close to the uni for anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay for graduation if needed! Not far from the city centre either (15-20min walk) with a tesco express only around 5 min away. Had all the facilities needed eg. fridge, oven, dishwasher, microwave. Bed was comfortable and everything was in working condition. Hosts were also kind enough to let us have a late check out which we really appreciate!

United KingdomThere was a hole in one of the bedroom walls and it needed some cosmetic fixes to bring it back to its original spec state. But it was a lovely apartment and good value for money taking the space and facilities into account.
The location was brilliant as I was working at the University and it was 5 minutes away. The facilities were a good spec and instructions for everything were available, and easy to follow.

United KingdomThe noise from upstairs is horrendous got no sleep whats so ever you can hear every step door bang chair move they make and every word they say ! And if they are up to the early hours of the morning don't expect to be able to get any sleep. On the surface the place looks fantastic then while your there you notice things like long womans hairs in the bed the floors leave your feet and socks black. The bathroom has black mould on the ceiling and tiles missing. The sofa is stained along with the cushions on the sofa. The throw blanket over the bed smelt like stale urine. There's nothing that can be done about the noise coming from upstairs as the floors are so thin but the rest is cosmetic and can be sorted just a bit more attention to detail from the cleaner and little DIY fixes and the place would be perfect except for noise.
The place is in a perfect spot for Leeds City centre and on the surface the place looks fantastic. Everything you need is there lots of space. Great if you don't sleep much or are a heavy sleeper.
