Bathroom dirty with old leaks and rusty marks. Restaurant table and chairs need updating. Very over priced food even though very good, decor does not provide justice for price

The shower in the room was only working as boiling hot, we could not turn it down. There were large cracks in the tiles by the toilet which were loose. The No 18 restaurant felt tired and cold/uninviting. The golfing men were rude to the staff.

The room itself was lovely with great scenic views of the golf course. The coffee machine was a nice touch. The bathroom was very large and had plenty of towels. The swimming pool, sauna and hot tub areas were fantastic.

The wi-fi is not secure. Even though I was second into breakfast, the beans and bacon were only luke warm.

The hotel is located off a roundabout on the A388 and as such easy to find. Staff were polite and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, overlooking the golf course, with free in room Wi-Fi. The food was good in the evening. Breakfast from 07.00am, was buffet style. Checking out was easy. I would highly recommend The St Mellion Estate and would definitely stay here again.

No sound proofing and quite noisy flooring outside and in the room - also doors had too much light bleed at night and doors slamming from other floors / hallway. Bathroom needs refurb

Class availability was poor, however special praise for Nathan who made it possible for me to attend a few of them (which was my reason for booking in 1st place) thank you.

The accommodation was perfect for my purposes. With pretty much everything I required for my birthday treat. The class instructors being flexible with their numbers, so I was able to join In. The reception staff at the health suite desk were incredibly helpful.

The welcome at reception was bizarre and a started me on a poor note. So many golf groups couldn’t get a table for dinner. Rooms are tired and I was in a suite! As you walk along the corridor the carpets are coming away from the walls. The doors all creak. The patio doors in bedroom don’t seal properly so wind just whistles through. There is no procedure for checking the lifts when there is a power cut. 40 minutes stuck in the lift before reception realised. Scarily poor procedure, there could have been a serious medical incident locked in a lift with no light and nobody knows you’re there. No phone signal at property so when power went down the WiFi went down too. Asked for compensation towards another stay which was refused.

View out the room. Pool and sap facilities are good.

Receptionist on check-in was rather offhand, certainly didn’t act as if she was enjoying her job. (The check-out person was pleasant and cheerful however.) Changing room for swimming pool was very cold.

Good location for breaking our journey to west Cornwall. Lovely swimming pool. Comfortable, quiet and spacious ground floor room which seemed in better condition than the upstairs one on our last stay.

The room cleaning was dubious. We stayed for 2 nights. My towels were not changed despite being left in the bath. My colleagues bed had not been made and despite his towels being replaced the bathroom had not been cleaned. We also overheard a couple of other guests making comment at checkout too. The chair in the room at the desk was too low to enable a comfortable working position.

Venue was really good. Staff were great and the food was good including breakfast. Very relaxing environment.

The air conditioning didn't keep the room that fresh so we had to keep our balcony door open as it got warm in our room. Rooms could be updated. We booked a meal in the restaurant (an boeti), the food was lovely but we waited over an hour for our main course. The pillows and bed weren't that comfy.

The view from our balcony room was stunning. The selection of food on the menu was brilliant, and room service came quickly. The facilities were excellent and we liked that we could use the pool whenever we liked.

There was no information in the rooms about the facilities on offer. We got back to the hotel after a meal out around 11.30 on Thursday night. We were advised that the bar was still open. When we got the bar we were told that even as residents we could not be served this despite the fact that there were still quite a number of people in the bar. It was disappointing that the information we were given at reception was incorrect and surprising that as hotel residents we were unable to have a night cap in the bar at the end of the evening.
