This isn't a "Dislike" but just a personal choice here. All four of us would rather a potato scone was substituted for the pancake at breakfast.

The guest house was immaculate, easy to find and central for all the facilities and travel routes to and from Largs. The host(s)was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and eager to please. The breakfast was exceptional. Plenty to choose from and freshly cooked.

    Nothing.

Our host was keen to greet us as we arrived. The centre of town was 5 minutes walk away and our host was full of suggestions on where to eat. The bedroom was overlooking the main road, but there was no traffic noise, while the sea was visible in the distance. The cooked breakfast was more than ample and really enjoyed. The bath robe was a nice touch for the shared facilities.

a superb guest house. Keith, the owner was so friendly and incredibly efficient, really going the extra mile. The room was very comfortable, and enhanced by two lovely armchairs. There was even a small fridge in our room with supply of fresh milk and chilled water- a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable and we had huge fluffy towels. Breakfast was delicious- cooked to order and included freshly made pancakes. A selection of fruit was freshly prepared in glasses each day. Lively freshly brewed coffee and tea with refills as wished. The whole place was immaculate and very welcoming. I will definitely be back. Thank you 😊

    We were perfectly satisfied.

Hosts went out of their way to accommodate our unavoidable, late arrival time, even providing a freshly baked sweet because we would miss dinner. The rooms were clean and well-appointed; breakfast was great. Traffic noise was a little noticeable, but did not detract from the stay at all. Short walk to the beach.

First Class Stay at St Leonards Guest House

There was nothing I didn’t like. Hospitality was first class. I will book en suite next time, only because this is now my preference. Just starting to explore UK.

Fresh fruit, warmed croissant, juice. The cooked breakfast was delicious, especially the bacon from a local butcher. Tea & toast and spreads. All presented and served with first class attention to detail. Breakfast room welcoming and bright. The bedroom was fantastic, I was very grateful to be upgraded to larger room from my single, where I had a sea view of the ferry sailing across to Millport. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Appreciated the fresh milk and carafe of water in fridge. Loved all the little plants, ornaments, around the premises, tasteful and stylish. Attention to detail and obvious pride in making the guest feel at home. The best experience and recommend highly.

One of the best BnBs I have ever stayed in!! The shower, bathroom, rooms and bedding are all spotless. You can tell the team are dedicated to giving guests a comfortable stay. The house is very close to the train station, and a short walk away from the centre of town. Most importantly, the people running this place are the best!! We had a lovely Scottish breakfast in the morning, and Keith gave us the time of day to sit and speak with us. Thank you Keith and team for the most comfortable, most heart warming stay!

The traffic of cars was a little audible at night, but this was expected, because the location of the hotel is good and very close to the ferry, bus or train stops.

Breakfast was great🌞 Prepared very early, when I needed it. Very polite and intelligent owner, friendly and hardworking.
