To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This place was so cute! Perfect for a solo traveler. The room was clean, had everything you needed, everything worked properly, and the bed was very comfortable. The shared bathroom was spacious and clean. There was complimentary breakfast as well. Tracy was very accommodating and responsive. Definitely recommended this place!

United KingdomThe only downside was the noise from other guests in the morning, probably due to thin walls. But, I understand this is hard to deal with being a house.
The host was very friendly. She keeps a nice and clean guest house in a quiet location within walking distance to the city centre. Our room was very cosy and homely. The bathroom was well kitted with a good-sized bath and shower. The help yourself morning continental breakfast was also very much appreciated with plenty choice of cereals and toast toppings for us as vegans.

The room was clean, cosy, and had lots of helpful amenities - hand towel and bath towel (nice and thick!), tea/coffee station, and a sink. What a gem! Such a bright, colourful and spotlessly clean space. Tracy is the most wonderful host and can’t do enough for you. The facilities are great and there is everything you need in your room, in the bathroom and in the kitchen. Comfy beds, tea and coffee making facilities..even chocolate biscuits! It’s the details that make your stay so good - with a fabulous help-yourself breakfast with creaks, toast, juice, pastries, yogurt and even a coffee machine and milk frother. It’s home from home with lots of added treats. Even safe parking! So looking forward to returning!
