I wish I could have found a dog friendly beach but this is not a shortcoming of the property!

The house is stunning, really beautiful with everything you could possibly want or need. The hosts were so very helpful and always ready to promptly answer questions or to help in any way.

Although there were a lot of stairs, they were good exercise! Perhaps I missed something, but it would have helped if it was more clear whether the key box was at the back or front of the house.

Excellent rooms, and great views very much enjoyed. The house was well equipped, not lacking anything we needed. The large double bed was very much enjoyed rather than just being a standard one. Great access to Ventnor and all that the town has to offer.

Ventnor is set on the side of a steep hill, so the house has its back door on the lower floor and front door on the middle floor. Walk in any direction away from the house and you will quickly find yourself going up or down an steep incline.

Loved waking up and being able to see the sea. House is split onto 3 floors, with the kitchen on the lowest level, living room on the middle floor, bedrooms and bathroom on the top. There is only one toilet and that's on the top floor. Kitchen had nearly everything, fridge and freezer, washing machine and dishwasher (including some washing tablets), gas hob, oven with grill and a microwave. First floor had the living room, with a large dining table with 4 chairs at one end, and a sitting area the other with 3 seater sofa couple of lounger chairs, TV (with freesat, NOWtv and dvd player). Top floor had the two bedrooms and bathroom. The main master bedroom had a double bed, wardrobe and table and draw storage each side of the bed. Second bedroom had two single beds with a small bedside table in between. Bathroom had a toilet, sink and fully size bath with shower. The water pressure in the house is superb and showers were amazing! The island has a very good bus service, and there is a half-hourly service that calls at the bus stop right by the house. Found the house to be very clean and well maintained, and the host had left us bread, milk and muffins.

Nothing that I didn't like, but one thing to consider is that if you have mobility issues the house is over 3 floors of steep stairs.

Property was clean, very well maintained, well equipped even received a welcome pack of ice creams which the kids loved, bread, tea etc.

The only thing wasn't provided was a shaver socket, so we bought an adapter and left it there. We also forgot there were stairs.. because we live in a flat. We soon got used to them and enjoyed the effect on our thighs! 🤣

Right next to the number 3 bus stops! So warm, homely and cosy .. lots of lovely little touches like art and welcoming treats. The teeny garden was a favourite spot for both us and our grandpa puss, who was also welcomed. Lovely books etc. I rediscovered The Wind in the Willows. 🐸🐁. It was so quiet and relaxing, with brilliant sea views.

southgrove Is a wonderful property, location is fab. it is a very steep walk down to the sea front and of course you have to do the same walk back up, but that a was not a problem for me or my family. the house had everything you could possibly need as well as great views. the property is on 3 levels so I as fine for my family but maybe not ideal for older or slightly less able people.

Two lots of very steep stairs to climb from kitchen to living room and bath/bedrooms. A much longer walk then expected with lots of hills to the town and the esplanade. My elderly bones are still painful!

Clean, light and airy house with little touches. Everything we needed was supplied. Extra touch was small cakes, loaf of bread, milk in fridge, spices, sugar etc. Also lots of games and information of the island and a basket to help oneself to items that people may have forgotten to bring.
