Beautiful setting, room view was a bit disappointing.

We stayed in room 430. While the room was beautifully decorated. It was very dark. Even with the lighting on during the day. The windows were very small. We could not see very well out the skyline window. The water pressure was not great in the sink. It took forever for warm water in the shower and sink.

The staff are very welcoming. The hotel has a beautiful setting with the mountains and the sea. That is what attracted us to book this hotel. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel. The Percy French is lovely for a steak dinner. Which we both choose. The deserts were beautiful.

A bit expensive, but well worth it.

Room recently refurbished to a high standard, although the colour scheme made the room quite dark during daylight, coffee machine was a big bonus, with good choice of coffee, super sized bed give a good night's sleep, bathroom give us a bath and large cubicle shower, we'll laid out, with his and her sink. The tv was a exceptional size, with sky sports, and film channels as well. Breakfast was exceptional, as usual, with the new layout working well, coupled with the lovely view of the Mourne mountains, made breakfast a memorable occasion. The facilities at the spa were exceptional, with a well equipped gym, good sized pool.A steam room and sauna,to relax those tired bodies, but the jacuzzi coupled with the view of mountains of Mourne sweeping down to the sea was so invigorating, loved it.

We were not impressed with the new decor in the room. Did not like the automatic service charge on our bar bill. This is probably an American way of doing things.

Love the pool as always. The new bathrooms are impressive. The dining room has received a stylish makeover. The bar was cosy.

The only one criticism I have is that apart from the view (which is exceptional) the spa/pool area is quite basic. We couldn’t get booked in for treatments on time and I think there is a separate area upstairs that guests who are having a treatment can use. Shame we couldn’t also have used this, but still had a nice relaxing time.

Stunning interiors and exceptional views. We stayed for our first anniversary and were given a room upgrade - we had the most luxurious room with views of the Sea and mountains, it was very special waking up tho the view. The room was spacious and clean and bed very comfortable. Any staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was fresh and tasty :)

Our evening meal was huge disappointment. This is not fine dining. We had bistro style meals at vastly inflated prices. This restaurant needs to up their game .Would not eat in this restaurant again. This was meant to be a special wedding anniversary celebration.

    Breakfast good. Location excellent.

The service charge in the restaurant was not clearly visible and was in the small print and the last sentence on the sheet and was only noticed on the second evening. We had put a tip in the glass at the checkout not realising we were tipping twice. It made eating and drinking in the hotel very expensive

The old fashioned ambience and the friendly staff.

The layout of Room 111 wasn't great. Unfortunately the hairdryer was broken and an extra mirror would be perfect for doing make up and hair etc. No plugs close to the mirror on the wardrobe which wasn't ideal. I had two kids with me but they didn't have gowns for the pool. That would have been a nice touch for them.

Loved the location, bar, pool and staff were so friendly in all areas. Room service was quick. The breakfast was beautiful.

We had confusion booking in, I booked through Booking.com for 6 people 3 rooms never noticed that the room allocation was incorrect I definitely did not book it specifically the way the room allocation was issued we where travelling as three couples booking.com issued us with 3 rooms one for 3 people one for 2 people and one for 1 person which was incorrect though I confirmed details with Hotel re: my parents room and their requirements this booking error wasn't picked up on or checked. I never noticed it on the booking detail which was my fault but as I hadn't requested it that way it never occurred to me that we would be issued rooms per person in this way especially as the rooms allocated to us were within our 3 couple requirements? The issue occured when we were paying for our rooms the split per couple was incorrect which caused an issue, the receptionist was very helpful and tried her best to explain what had happened with the third party booking. We could not charge our electric car at the Hotel which was a big inconvenience for us and should be available for guests. Overall while our rooms were beautiful after the new refurbishment we found the decor very dark, lighting very poor, not enough clothes storage or practical needs in room ie. Mirror beside socket/dressing table.

Loved the breakfasts which we got as room service though there was a mix up in our order .We ate at Percy French's both days food was very good staff were lovely, great service. Staff in Slieve Donard were very friendly and very helpful.

There was a small hole on the duvet cover on the bed, also the caulk was coming off the windowsill in the room which made it a little drafty.

The staff were amazing 10/10 super friendly and answered any questions we had. The pool was fun and had some floaty toys for the kids, they gave us extra towels too. The room was big and the bed was super comfortable Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of items

The standards of other guests was very low and not managed. There were kids wrestling in the bar and parents allowing their children to watch iPads on full volume completely unchecked by staff. When paying for luxury you expect standards to be set and held and the hotel let us all down by accepting this.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a stunning location and it felt luxurious to stay in. The food was delicious for every meal and the staff were very attentive.

It was getting cold and even after the staff came to fix it it still remained cold. Poor ventilation in the toilet. The waiter in the bar was messing around and didn’t do the proper job, made me go back and forth to look after him in order to get my juice when I was already feeling dizzy after the sauna. The waitress couldn’t properly explain the menu which caused me having a bad choice of food.

Jacuzzi inside and very warm as it has to be. Beautiful view. Staff on the reception is very professional and friendly. Good breakfast.
