The fact there is nowhere to socialize and that evening meals are not served. For 'oldies' like us we like everything in one place so to have a meal, spend time having drinks together then just go upstairs to bed is what is required.

Hotel is in a perfect position right on the front overlooking the sea. Unfortunately it's very tired and needs a lot of t.l.c. Breakfast was really good, hot food very fresh and plenty of it. Unfortunately evening meals are not served and there is no lounge area in which to socialize, which was something we would have really enjoyed as we were a party of over 80 year olds 'having a reunion'. There is a bar but strangely located in the breakfast area and the only place to consume a drink is at reception. Beds were comfortable and everything in the room was nicely clean. Staff were lovely and very helpful. I guess the price reflects the state of the hotel and I feel money will be invested in it but for now it's cheap and cheerful.

The room was basic, we couldn’t get WiFi at all, it also had a smell of something damp. Needs some tlc on the top floor. Unfortunately we didn’t have a great view, but then you get what you for.

Location was amazing, near the pier. Plenty of options for food & drink locally within a reasonable walking distance. Reasonable late booking price.

My another time there and every time is not possible to watch tv as there are huge video noise/interferences, we are in year 2025 this should to be sort out !

Clean, friendly staff, Good , basic breakfast but if you stay longer than 1-2 days you need more variety otherwise you have enough after few days.

Hotel is a short bus ride from the station. I was amazed by the lovely room I was given - and just wished that I had read the other reviews, because I could have checked-in and enjoyed myself in the very comfortable room - in retrospect, there was little point in trying to see something of Eastbourne, because the weather was truly awful. Good to have a bathroom with a bath - so many places just provide an ensuite the size of a telephone box, with only a shower squeezed-in. A nice surprise was an included cooked breakfast. Near a bus stop for a bus to the Station. Close to a Tesco Express.

The window and surrounding area was filthy. Spilt tea on frame! Such a shame as s lovely littld place to sit snd focus and hilight of room Shower Soap / shampoo pump was empty and hadn't been refilled . And oc course didn't know actually IN the shower . Big splatted bugs on ceiling and wall. -

Breakfast was not good. The bacon and sausages were boiled so were very bland and watery. The coffee was not tasty either. We also tried the continental, but this too was not great. Really hard small rolls and bland cheese & ham slices. We only ate breakfast on the first morning, but decided to eat out the next morning, to find somewhere with a nicer breakfast - just behind was a Green King pub which did a fantastic breakfast.

An on-site bar was not available as standard. It would’ve been nice to have an evening tea or drink at the hotel. One could have tea in the room, but sometimes a more comfortable setting is preferred. They do open the breakfast and bar area for special occasions or when it is hired out by groups, so not all that bad.

I had a sea-view room. Full English breakfast was served as well as gluten-free toast. The location of the hotel, on Marine Parade was ideal for beach viewing, near the main Pier and various cosmopolitan shops nearby and a short to comfortable walk to the city centre shops, restaurants, pubs and the Eastbourne railway station. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly.

Hot water in the sink was very temperamental and the shower wasn’t very powerful. Breakfast was average. I asked for scrambled eggs and they weren’t fresh eggs. I didn’t eat them.

We had a lovely room with great view of the sea. The room was quite big with a separate sitting area. The bed was comfortable and happy to find a kettle to make hot drinks. The hotel is in a great location for the beach right in front as well as the town centre.

The decor was very dated, and I definitely should have asked for a mat for the bath / shower to stop slipping (my fault as there was a sign saying they were available at reception - I only stayed the one night). The only big thing for me were the pillows, even both together they weren’t as thick as one standard pillow. I’d suggest at least putting two on each side of the double bed at least if getting new ones isn’t feasible.

Great value for money, definitely worth a stay. Fabulous breakfast, full English options plus yoghurts, toast, cereal, even some cold meats and cheese! Friendly staff and a comfy bed. Right on the seafront with a short walk into the city centre.

Room had a sea view but the window needed replacing as the were so misted and had so much condensation you could clearly see the view. Shower was small so end up being stuck to the shower curtain.
