The beds needs more attention to comfort, otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The place was loverly, the staff was great, we had booked via booking.com but realise they was new to putting the place on there, when we booked we was going for the hot tub, didn't realise till we arrived it didn't come with the cabin we booked, explained and showed the staff what we thought we was paying for, they upgraded us but didn't get the hot tub as it was fully booked. But it was very good of them to understand why we was disappointed when we first arrived, as the first cabin they offered wasn't at all what we wanted, the one they moved us too was a lot better and was happy with our stay after that.

Sadly the pool was not open and we did not receive an email about this. This place could be so much more! The crazy golf has been left unkempt, done up could be a lovely addition. The pool really is essential and in school holidays should be working! You have to get this right.

The setting is beautiful. Cabin was cosy and everything you needed. Bathroom could do with an update but the water pressure was very good. The kitchen was modern and had what you needed. The outdoor seating area is ideal and my foster son loved the outdoor play area.

Very outdated furniture and furnishings. The carpets were stained. There's no Wifi. They did not provide hand wash something so basic for holiday lets.

The cottages/ lodges look nice. The bed was comfortable and the bedrooms were spacious enough.

Was not aware there was no heating in the cabin, 2 plug in heaters. Had to purchase a starter pack for the log burner at 20 pound which we did not know about. Many facilities closed or in very poor condition. Could have been cleaner, few items needed replacing.

Great location and very peaceful setting Loved the cabin and where it was situated, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen Liked the private pool session

Tired looking, the shower burns so for safety my son didn’t wash. The log burner you have to buy the logs for I feel this should be made clear before arriving or one given in the price. The knives are useless one couldn’t even cut my lime. Missing salt, pepper and oil which are basics in the kitchen I feel. One bed was unusable due to the springs in the mattress thankfully we only needed 2 beds and not all 3.

It was clean - looked like it needs love but clean bedding and two of the three beds had okay mattresses.

was sooo disappointed with the facilities , was advertised that there was a pool, archery, mini golf , bowling, tennis courts … i booked here with the view of utilising these facilities however upon arrival was told the pool is out of use due to refurbishment , they don’t do archery there anymore , the mini golf was a tiny concrete area in the main hall had 2 maybe 3 holes in this tiny area , the bowling was a concrete ‘alley’ ( if you could call it that) painted green with plastic skittles at the end some of these were broken , and this by the way, was all amongst a tonne of stacked boxes that looked like they had old xmas decs and stuff in. i would describe it as very basic indoor activities that little kids might get some enjoyment out of but it was so run down and just looked an absolute mess!!. Tennis court was usable and they did offer free rackets to use this was about the only working activity. Such a shame because with some money and tlc it could be a good retreat .. but honestly the advertising is totally misleading and i wasn’t happy that the archery and swimming was not even available when it is advertised as so!

the lodge itself was fine , really comfy beds , clean and had all you needed for a weekend stay, was nice and quiet

No hand soap, the only thing missing and I am it wouldn’t be that much cost to a small soap bar. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed for refurbishment.

Good size, everything was spotless, central heating. Kitchen had everting needed, although we mainly used glasses and crockery. Dishwater tablets and washing up liquid was there. There was also some tea bags and 5 and a small amount of long life milk. Lovely position overlooking a strip of forest. Very well positioned for local walks. The children loved the play areas and sports facilities. We travelled with family and we had to lodges next to each other..

No microwave or toiletries as stated. New sofas required, saggy and stained. Lumpy mattress in main room. Stained bedsheets in single bed. Kitchen utensils bare minimum. Drafts through windows and doors. Pool facilities were poor and it was cold. Games facilities needed major updating- broken table tennis bats and room used as untidy storage.

It was cosy, heaters were provided.

Booking.com had listed the check in time from 3pm so arrived at 3.15 to be told check in was at 4pm, check out is at 10am not 11am as listed. There was also a problem with the lodge we had booked so we had to wait until they found us a different lodge. Unfortunately there were a lot of mouse droppings in different places within the cabin, which should have been cleaned up before arrival. We were unable to report this to reception as they were closed when we found out. The maintenance team were working around our cabin area from 8am on both mornings of our stay, they were making a lot of noise and were very close to the windows of our cabin which made us feel uncomfortable. We did report to the reception at the end of the stay.

Location and the setting were very nice, lovely forest location with nice walks within the park. The cabin was cosy and had everything we needed. Nice children's play area.

There are smart televisions in the lodge but no internet and no tv chanels. In the kitchen there is a really minimum of everything, can't imagine a longer stay than 2 nights with that couple of kitchenware. We stayed just two night but both evening and night someone was driving really fast up and down the road in front of the lodges constantly. Lucky they didn't hit someone or a dog.

The staff was very kind and helpful, the lodge is located on a beautiful area in the woods.
