The rooms could have been a little cleaner, there was a lot of dust on the surfaces. The bathroom was a wet room but the water stopper didn't work and 3/4 the bathroom was wet.

The restaurant in the hotel had an amazing breakfast, it was perfect for a meal before checking out! Car park in the back of the hotel was perfect for the weekend.

A little more attention to detail in room. Cleaning in room door was dirty and sockets had finger prints on. Paint work was noticeable on ceiling. . Was expensive for drink and food. However food and breakfast was nice 🙂

Staff were friendly nothing was too much trouble. Bed comfy ,view was great. Near the pier and otherl local shops

Perfect location for Cliffs Pavilion, clean, comfortable. Bar is small but welcoming as are the excellent staff and management.

Pay & display parking expensive, hotel car park very small & already full. Blinds didn’t fit properly so light coming in. But the worst was slow service and then a 10% service charge on already overpriced drinks bought at the bar!!

Excellent location. I had the room I had seen online with seaview that I was hoping for. I had seen this hotel on my first visit to Southend on sea and had decided I would stay there one day! Everything about my stay was excellent! I especially liked the chain on the door! ( not had that before) , gave extra security and felt safe. Thanks!

The shower head needed descaling (as it drenched the bathroom due to the nozzles being blocked) and there needed to be a way to access/use plug socket by the tea/coffee making facilities, without having to live the kettle. Towels needed to be bath sheets, not bath towels!

Staff were fabulous; service was great - at all times, and quality of food was quite exceptional.

The wardrobe doors didn't shut fully and the light in there switched on when the heating came on. No bathrobes Cheap Biscuit ... only 1 each. Would expect better quality biscuits in a 4 star.

I expected this to be cleaner, and more attention detail. The chairs in our room were stained, the pillows on the bed old and well used. The rainforest shower head was dirty and needed a good clean. For the price I paid, it wasn’t up to standard and I’m disappointed with being overcharged. For a luxury boutique hotel, I’d expect more attention put into the finish.

I have paid a deposit on checkin and told on checkout it would be returned but have still not received it as yet. It was instant take but too long for refund. Not good!

Seaview !!! Beach and Cliff gardens view!Location fabulous!, The room was just right with all necessary facilities:-size , comfort, modern, clean and provided a sense of security.( I really liked the chain available on the door).The staff were welcoming and helpful! I really liked the bar area and the restaurant. Good hospitality! . Excellent ambiance and an atmosphere of luxury. Good for R&R ! It was part of a magnificent weekend! I enjoyed a Wonderful time! The bathroom is far too small and the shower is so ‘open’ water floods the whole bathroom floor whenever someone takes a shower. Have to then use the towels to mop it all up. There’s also no ventilation in the bathroom. The room and hotel in general is very warm which can be uncomfortable. We had three meals in the restaurant and had to wait an excessive time for food to arrive, although the food was very nice. Generally is expensive for what you get.

The bar and restaurant are very nice, the room was comfortable and we had an estuary view room which was also nice. Good location for Southend town centre and the pier / beach.
