Lovely setting, feels more like a conference centre than hotel, which isn't surprising as it is a conference centre. The restaurant manager and her team were excellent.

We didn't like that due to a wedding party there were a lot of very drunk people in the hotel. This wasn't the hotel's fault but it would have been better if they had been in a room and not the main bar!

We liked the look and feel for the property, and its grounds. We liked the facilities especially the comfortable beds, nice pool and good breakfast. We liked the free car park. and the easy check in/out.

Nice rural location, with a good pub just outside the hotel grounds so a short stroll away. Super all you can eat breakfast with loads of choice. Comfortable beds. Pleasant helpful staff.

The staff didn't relay to the restaurant that we were a group of 10 and would therefore like a table for 10 for breakfast, despite us requesting one for a meal on our first night. The menu was not the greatest we didn't think - having to pay extra for potatoes, veg and salad instead of a all in price for a meal was off putting and the choose wasn't that good. I'm coeliac (gf) and the breakfast only catered for this with gf bread, no gf cereal option, or other gf products like sausages, crumpets, bagels or muffins. All of which can be kept in the freezer and defrosted as needed. Disappointing. Our friend was in a mobility scooter and getting around was more difficult for her - maybe some more slope options should be incorporated to enable disabled people to get about.

Our room was very spacious and the staff managed to put us all near each other. Not many coat hangers but you can request more if needed. Lack of drawer space was noted. If we were staying longer this would be an issue. We loved that coffee, tea etc was available at no extra cost during the day. A great feature that was really appreciated. The space outside to sit out was fabulous and we used this a lot.

Nachos were basically a bag of Doritos with squeezy cheese, insipid salsa and chillis chucked on top - all cold! Don't charge me £8 for a bag of crisps and a bit of sauce.

Our room was spacious, clean and recently renovated. Bed was comfortable, there were sockets near the mirrors so I could do my hair (this is unusual, 10/10 for this!) but would have been nice to have better lighting. Shower was good, plenty of hot water and bathroom was nice and clean. Staff delightful throughout. Food was OK, not brilliant but for the price perfectly acceptable (except the Nachos which were basically a bag of Doritos with squeezy cheese, insipid salsa and chillis chucked on top - all cold!). Breakfast was good though.
