Very old and worn. Nothing going on e.g bar and food. No lift if needed (fire doors on stairs could cause restrictive access with wheeled suitcases). Had to ask for a second towel and no body wash or soap

Great location and amazing view from large room windows. Nice firm bed. Hotel had character. Ideal if you are looking for a no frills stay.

I didn’t like how there wasn’t a mini fridge provided or a water dispenser at the hotel. To sum up, make sure you bring your toiletries yourself as they give you a sachet of body wash and shampoo to wash your hands which doesn’t have the best scent. So bring stuff like shampoo, hand wash, toothpaste and etc yourself. Apart from that, there isn’t much to complain about.

The hotel was good for a 2 star hotel. The beds were comfy and clean. The toilets were fine too. Everything is old fashioned.

The place needs more maintenance. There ws no toilet paper. The floor made a lot of sound while walking around.

The man on the reception desk forgot to tell me that guests need to ask there for towels. So, the next morning I was looking for one and there wasn't a phone to the desk nor did anyone pick up the phone when I called. Wifi is limited to specific public areas in the hotel too, which wasn't entirely clear from the advert.

It's got a nice interior and there are quite a few shops nearby. I would stay there again if I was going that way (if there wasn't a better one available).

Smell, floor creaking toilet and taps not working correctly

The place had a stale smell and the toilet and taps were not working so well. Apart from a elderly man who tried his best no one else was avaialble.

The patio doors in our room would not open, they were a milky white blown glass.We were not allowed to open them as the balcony was considered dangerous.The tiny window above opened about an inch.The beautiful garden we looked out over was out of bounds.There were homeless people living there too, which did not bother me but it did my partner.The TV remote had to be obtained from reception available with a £10 deposit. Upon reading this note in our room my partner decided that was the final straw & we left,without staying the night.£ 85 wasted!!

The staff were totally helpful & went out of their way to help.

Where do I start. When we arrived the front door was locked and had to ring a doorbell to eventually find someone to let us in and was told our booking hadnt gone through yet even though i had all the confirmation numbers etc The place overall Is very run down and as much as there was staff cleaning you can tell they can't get ontop of it. We arrived to our room and there was a overall smell of dust, damp and other questionable smells...we lacked a TV remoted for the TV that was screwed into the table, stains on the walls, toilet seat was broken, the toilet paper wasn't replenished and ran out after a couple of uses and we couldn't get hot water out of the shower but was able to get it through the bath ( even they was connected?) For the price of 40 quid for the night we didn't want to complain as it was a last minute booking and honestly a 10am check out is abit too early for our liking but we was desperate to leave as i sprayed the floors with deodrant to help mask the smell ( carpets are in desperate need of a deep clean). Which is a massive shame as the location was perfect but it seems like the staff have stopped caring about the state of the place as the night reception was fast asleep as we checked out.

The only thing that was likeable that we had a quick booking and we was free to come and go whenever we wanted ( even during the evening)
