To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We didn’t want the buffet that was included in the rate, we just wanted a simple bowl of porridge instead as we were running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. We were told this would be charged at £9 per person. I feel that some flexibility could have been shown here.
The location was amazing, as was the view from our room. The room was super comfortable and we had everything we needed. It’s a cool vibe in Sea Containers.

United KingdomNothing. The only thing I would say is that when visiting the 12th knot for drinks I was told I couldn’t wear open back sandals. Which was a shame as my feet were swollen from walking all day which resulted into squeezing them in to a less comfy shoe. I saw others wearing trainers so I was a little confused as I was dressed well to go with the sandals.
The smell!! Beautiful scent for the hotel. We enquired when we checked out and were gifted a small candle each by a lovely lady called babs. The rooms were well done with the comfiest beds. Loved the display of goods for the mini bar that you could purchase. They thought of everything! We really enjoyed the decor and the daily quotes that were displayed down stairs which kept us amused. Great location. Managed to bag 80,000 steps over 3 days.

Fantastic location and every single member of staff (without exception!) was incredibly friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was a delicious, fresh, extensive spread. Dog friendly and they were so accommodating with treats and a dog bowl! Truly among the best hotels I’ve stayed in for the budget in London.

SwitzerlandVery minor points - breakfast is still very good, but is a little repetitive and seemed to have fewer options than previous years. They also seemed to have removed Sky TV from the rooms (which was an unbelievable bonus I’ve rarely seen elsewhere). Room carpets and walls were a little tired and in need of a good clean.
As always, a very comfortable stay, always feels like home here, which is why we keep coming back every year. We even extended our stay by 2 nights because we were enjoying it so much. Staff are very kind and helpful, the bars are very lively, the hotel very spacious and wonderfully located. We both slept perfectly every night - very comfortable beds and very quiet rooms.
