Given the apartment sleeps 7, there was only a sofa to seat 3 even though there was space for another sofa. The kitchen was brand new and the idea for us was a chilled night in before a busy competition on Sunday, we wanted to cook some pizzas. The kitchen was mostly empty. We couldn’t even find trays to put the pizzas on and then struggled to find anything to cut them with. There were only 6 plates so nothing to then put the pizzas on. There were no pots, pans, cooking utensils etc. Seemed like a new kitchen to look at but not use. Attempted to wash up using the liquid left for us but no sponges or cloths to use.

Everything looked brand new and the apartment was very spacious and comfortable.

The mattress for us was way too soft and we woke up with bad back ache. Not the fault of the hotel at all. We were concerned about how you enter the rooms of the hotel. But it weren’t really a big thing.

The room was extremely clean. In fact it was immaculate. The fact the pub is a night club with music that goes on until 2am, we couldn’t hear a thing. Amazing

We were disappointed to be told there was no WIFI even though it states it as being included on booking.com. Also there were no cooking utensils pot, pans, chopping boards etc. I would recommend request an upper floor if possible as we were on the ground floor and when sat in the living room we were below ground level so not much natural light.

We were upgraded to the 2 bed room apartment which was very new and very modern. More than enough beds 7 in total for our party of 4. A very clean and comfortable stay whilst visiting family. The owner was very flexible and easy going.

Cleaning staff were invasive and rude the mirror was off the wall when we arrived so we left it as it was only to be told we'd TRASHED the room by the female cleaner who came running out shouting in the car park!

The room was very basic but that was no surprise, given the price. One very thin pillow each. No toiletries in bathroom. Bath towels were very small and no hand towels. We stayed on a Sunday night but assume that a Friday or Saturday night would have been very noisy with the pub just underneath the room.

Bathroom looked very new, recently upgraded. Public car park next door was useful as hotel car park was full. Location was good for town centre. It was a good cheap price and was OK for a one night stay.

Unfortuantely there was no WiFi at the cottage. The shower leaks out onto the bathroom floor whilst in use, so one has to utilise one of the towels as a floor mat. There was no seperate toaster but you can use the oven grill. Though you have to crouch down really low to watch your crumpets burn!! The parking space is a bit tight, and you have to swing out into the road so be very careful.!. We would still come back if we are over that way as it is a lovely cottage.

We stayed in the Two bed cottage just up the road from the Dorrington. Its a lovely little cottage and ideal for a family or four people. Its very clean and actually looks like it has just been renovated. Bedrooms have ample space and the beds very comfortable. We all slept very well indeed. Nice cosy living room and very good kitchen area with bench dining table.. There is an outside area that can be used but as it was raining so much we did not get to use it. Good price for a family or four people.

Unfortunately there was an issue with AC. Staff were fab about it but it did lead to lots of wet possessions as well as expensive make up that had to be thrown out.

Wifi was very weak/not working sadly. Staff were informed and they said they’d try to sort it, but sadly it didn’t work for us. The only other thing was the bathroom was hard to turn the shower off as the button in the shower didn’t want to work for us and the cord was extremely short so hard to reach from the shower and as a result when turning off the shower the floor got drenched.

I booked 3 rooms for my family for us to attend a wedding in the area. All rooms were very clean and had lovely clean fresh bedding and towels for all guests. tv and tea and coffee facilities were greatly appreciated. air con was in our room and lovely to have when it got warm in the evening. it was the perfect location to the Main Street for breakfast and local amenities if needed. Staff were very helpful and messaged me before hand themselves, to notify me about parking, which was very handy as I don’t know the area. They were also very prompt in answering an other queries I had about breakfast, which although they didn’t provide was again great as they were able to inform me of all other options we had during our stay.
