The never ending stairs to the family room with 2 young children for a start. Light shade smashed and not cleaned up before arrival so found the glass smashed on the unhoovered carpet and behind the bed. One bloke that worked there was pretty unhelpful, Eventually found the owner and it was cleaned up and he was apologetic. Chair leg was also broken as well as the blind in the bathroom that fell down as soon as you went near it. As for the bathroom, I found the toilet door with a glass window a bit strange-no privacy? And the shower that just trickled with water was pointless. No one around in the morning to speak to or give the keys to, so just left them on the desk in the entrance room.

The place is obviously struggling financially and despite the efforts of the lovely staff, is clearly on its last legs. Our room was incredibly dated (though clean) and had nowhere to hang anything, or even a chair/table. The shower looked fifty years old and produced little beyond a trickle of water…

Didn't like the shared bathroom it was small so my partner had to wrap up in a towel to walk back to out room which was embarrassing and the shower room had few hairs in and around the bath with a wet towel which looked like it had been used as a bath Matt, the hotel it's self was undated in furniture taste

Staff member was very welcoming and helpful, potential is there if they put in the money to modernise the property and could be worth paying more for if this was done

Some of the decor could do with an update. Some of the small lights above the bed didn't work.

The beds were very comfortable and bathroom facilities were clean. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the pier. Large balcony area which looks out to the sea.

The room was on the 2d floor. I went up in the scary rickerty old lift- I pressed 2 for floor 2 as you do but this only takes you to floor 1. When I got off on floor 2 after pressing 3 there was a big ladder coming from a loft just outside the door. I had to walk sideways like a crab to get past it (with suitcase). There were towels in the room but these were the size of tea towels so not much use for drying yourself with. No parking however managed to get some free parking not far away. The hotel decor is very 1970s scary carpets and brown wood work. I did not see or hear even one other guest and only saw the same man on reception for check in and the morning.

Room and ensuite were clean. Bed was ok and there was a nice view of the sea- but only from the ensuite.

Reception staff were not adequate. Very poor English, didn't say hello or welcome us. Didn't give us any information about breakfast or check out times. When we came to check in he disnt speak except to hold the card machine out towards me for my payment. Never told us our room number, simply held the keys out. I'm assuming he was covering for the usual staff. Breakfast looked amature so we went elsewhere.

Advertised as free parking, which was true if you were lucky enough to get a space. What it failed to mention was that it was next to a building site and had to keep moving the car to let trucks access the site. Initially put in a room which didn't smell very nice. View was of the building site next door. No bath towels, 2 saucers for 3 of us and no cups and no tea, coffee or milk. Which considering we weren't allowed to book in until 4pm was not acceptable. We asked to move rooms and were lucky enough to get a view over the marina, which was amazing. No hairdryer, however new towels in this room. Unfortunately only 2 teacups and no saucers. Apparently the hotel is under new management and there are plans for a refurbishment next year, which it desperately needs. Real shame as the hotel has great potential and the fella on the front desk was very friendly and tried his best but appeared to be running everything on his own. We did try the £5.00 pp breakfast the first day but not to our taste. I would say wait for the refurbishment before staying here although it will probably be a lot more expensive next year.

It was spacious and a nice welcome . lots of sitting areas. room was cute and clean . I was made to feel very welcome and all information was clear . I was shown my room rather than just given a 🔑. Also very helpful leaving fruit for breakfast as I had an early start .

Room furniture tired and cheap. Carpet scruffy. Shower grouting all covered in mould. Opening window really dirty. Neither shower or window opening have ever been properly cleaned.
