Cabin was clean (ish). I pulled 2 single beds together and underneath and at the back of the beds had not been cleaned in a while. The corners of the bathroom and the shower hose was dirty.

Great location. Grounds were good. Most of the amenities were good but over priced groceries.

We were having to move out of our home due to fire damage whilst decontamination took place. Rather than move into a hotel or B&B, we thought it a good idea to travel the 3.5 miles from our home and stay at Sandy Balls so that a) we were able to keep in touch with the restoration company and b) still look after our pets, family and gardens. We knew that the reputation of Sandy Balls was high and we were not disappointed.

No WiFi and only a very weak 3G/4G signal available in some areas of the lodge. Had to walk to main square to pick up the WiFi. No ice compartment in the fridge, so needed to buy ice from on site shop each day. In need of refurbishment as some parts look tired.

Nice area, with friendly local pub nearby. Very quiet and pleasant, private location. Good TV, and everything as described including kitchen facilities. Nice to have two bathrooms.

Lovely setting, lovely lodge. Mattresses are not of good quality, sadly. Lovely and clean inside, however, the decking and outside furniture was covered in leaves and bird pooh. I quick sweep off prior to arrive would have definitely improved things. All.of the.handrails and steps were green and slippery. No instruction/visitor handbook. We struggled with the oven . Even with the negative items, we had a great weekend and would come back. It would easily become a 5 star with a little attention to detail.

We arrived 20 mins early in Reception and were told by an unwelcoming, grumpy woman that we couldn't be checked in til 4pm. We came back at 4pm and loads of people seemed to have checked in before 4pm. The woman who checked us in was pleasant and welcoming. I thought towels should be included. They are at most places we stay for a similar price. In the caravan there wasn't even a welcome pack not even a bit of washing up liquid. We have had a welcome pack in other similar places. The oven temperature in the caravan was naff luckily we could cook in the lodge instead. No hot water when we arrived but this was quickly fixed. No highchair in the lodge despite previously being paid for. This was again remedied fairly quickly. Blind in the kitchen of the caravan fell down the first evening. It was fixed the next day. The onsite shop is quite expensive for things like loo roll or ice cream. At the lodge there were brambles as we came up the steps to the lodge. These were cut down eventually but perhaps before guests arrival would be better.

We liked the different things to do on site. We liked the pool and soft play. The alpaca crew were lovely, informative and helpful. The coffee shop was nice.

The accommodation is very close together so we had no privacy! Our cabin faced the road with people looking in every time they walked past. Had to keep the curtains pulled all the time! Also not having WIFI in the cabin is a negative for us with small children but I misread the booking so that is my error!

Nothing we had no problem at all. The only thing which we a little surprised at were the price of the drinks at the bar.

We found the site very clean, well organised and friendly. We loved the location and the caravan was very comfortable. We would recommend visiting.

The carpets in the home need a clean. The knives in the block need sharpening as all were blunt we struggled to cut a tomato. The lounge and bed in main room have seen better days. We didn’t realise that towels weren’t included so we had to hire them for our stay.

The home was Located in a quiet area of the park. Staff were helpful. Had everything we needed.

The pool could do with some TLC and very cold as the boilers not all working. Too cold for my granddaughter aged 3 The single beds in caravan fine for children but not really suitable for adults with cronky joints.....very clean and well equipped though.

Loved the peace and quiet.....lovely meal at Audrey's.

The sofas were quite low.

The location was beautiful. It didn't feel like your average holiday park. It felt more relaxing with plenty of trees and walks. No evening entertainment but still a restaurant and pub on site. Great base for visiting the surrounding places of interest.
