Price was slightly high for the age of the room.

Staff were fab. Breakfast was really good. Room was ok, clean but beginning to need a bit of a refurb.

Bath plug wouldn't open, they give you hobs but nothing to actually cook with so the hobs are pointless. Said we would have had bath robes, none in sight. Balcony and all glass on the balcony was manky black. For the price I'd have expected more cleanliness. The bed was so soft that when my partner rolled over I'd fall into him.

It was close to everything we needed.

There was limited crockery, ie 1 spoon, 1 small plate, no bowls. The crockery that was there also wasn’t very clean however when I asked for more the staff brought more. We also didn’t like the size of the bath towels they were far too small and didn’t wrap around our body and there was only 1 bath robe.

We have stayed here before because of the location and also the room we had. The room we stayed in had a small kitchenette which meant we didn’t have to eat out for all our meals and it also was spacious and had a settee. Each time we have stayed all the staff have been exceptionally helpful and very accommodating. It’s a lovely touch to be able to use the coffee machine in reception.

In the bathroom there was a shelf above the toilet to which my husband hit his head on every time he used the toilet. Myself was hit in the back. It was quite dangerous. When reported at front desk was told nothing could be done.

The property was very good amenities above expectations. Staff friendly location perfect.

Thought parking would be slightly cheaper as getting discount from hotel but there was a car park next door that offered similar price.

The bed was too close to the wall to get out comfortably.

We were visiting St James's Park so the hotel is literally across the road. Newcastle is a compact city so you're not far from anywhere really , station is 12 minutes away & you can leave your bags which is very helpful

I asked for balloons to be put in the room however I was very disappointed as I spent lots of money on the balloons and when I got there they was all deflated like they’d been done the night before and just placed wherever

It was a bit further from the main area. The view was nice but the wardrobe door came off the runner / they fixed this quickly though. I have stayed here before and the room I had the last time without the stadium view was a lot bigger. I had ordered the romance package but the rose petals were not added/ messaged the hotel who advised they would refund £5 of this back.

The hotel is beautiful and right beside the stadium which was so good. The staff are friendly and welcoming and then bed was so comfy. Fixed a couple of issues quickly with no problems

We originally were on the 2nd floor however it was quite loud with people in the corridors drinking before going out, we had booked on game day which we didn’t realise before we booked. However the lady at the desk was happy to move us without any fuss to a higher floor which was much quieter. So before you book check Newcastle game days if they are playing.

Great views of Newcastle stadium, If you are a fan of them. Location was great within walking distance to everything. Staff were friendly and room was spacious. My dog was with us as well and she felt just as welcome with a bed, bowl and treats.

The cold room and cold shower

We couldn’t get the heating to work in our room so we were cold at night time and early morning! The shower was also freezing every time we used it with our last morning being the exception. Staff were absolutely FANTASTIC

The rooms are brilliant, and the location is spot on for SJP 😍 - I also liked the offer of a coffe/hot chocolate on arrival at reception
