Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The room was a good size, quiet, had everything you needed. Reception staff were polite and informative. Good location. Clean and tidy. Even had a fan which came in very handy as it was really warm in the hotel. Good selection of drinks behind the reception desk. Bed was comfy enough (didn't wake up aching like an old lady which is always good)!

United KingdomFirst room we stayed in was small, noisy neighbours, and they were shouting and knocking on our door, and then again at 2.30 in the morning. This made us unable to sleep. My partner was going into Sheffield Hallam the next day for brain surgery, so this really unsettled both of us. I did complain and was moved the next day. I had to book out of the room, move my case etc then book in again! I thought £9 a day for parking was disgusting especially as we were staying in the hotel, it should have been subsidised.

United KingdomMattress on bed was floppy at the edges which made it tricky to get out of bed without falling out. One of the bedside lamps buzzed loudly enough to be disturbing and unusable. The stairs!
Breakfast service was great. Assistance from Reception over stairs and need to change room was very good. We were assigned to a different room with no difficulty. We were surprised by the number and steepness of staircases (as one of use uses a stick to walk and has difficulty with stairs). We should have let the Hotel know this beforehand. The receptionist did also arrange for breakfast to be served to us in the lounge, so we didn't have to go down the stairs to the dining room. The lady who served the breakfast was also cheerful, friendly and helpful. Overall we were happy. Thank you.

United KingdomDirty property, extremely tired, toilet badly equipped no toilet brush which is an odd choice. Had to ask everyday at reception for coffee and sugar etc. Fire exits propped open with wedges, doors don’t close properly on most of the rooms. This means slamming the door to close it at whatever time in the morning/night that might be.

United KingdomI did call ahead to check they had rooms on a ground floor and put a request in on booking.com when booking for ground floor (due to mums mobility). When we arrived we had a room down quite a few stairs. Although mum did manage with a couple of short breaks to get her breath back, it would have been preferable on a ground floor. There was only one big towel in the room.
The property was really clean, its location was good for the hospital which is where we had to go the following day and the reason we booked it.
