Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDue to it being old building you can hear fellow guests.- ie walking around, chatting, snoring. Didn't spoil my trip and expected with age of building.
Breakfast had everything well organised. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden was nice to sit and relax after day of sightseeing.

United KingdomSome of the staff members were a little rude. A lady on reception came across like she didn't want to be there and when we checked out there was no 'i hope you enjoyed your stay' or anything. Just said 'theres no bill' she also wasn't particularly friendly or helpful during our stay. One of the waiters in the restaurant was also quite rude. My mam is a coeliac and was trying to ask if the fried potatoes had been fried in oil with anything else that contained gluten. He said very rudely 'they're fried potatoes' without allowing her to finish and walked off and angrily said something in the kitchen (in another language). Which made us feel like he was having a go about us which made us feel quite uncomfortable.
My and my mam loved our stay at the Runneymede. My mam worked here in 1984 and it was fun for my mam to stay here. Really lovely hotel. The restaurant food was very good value for money and the room was a great size and very comfortable. It was really close to the beach and the Lido and short walking distance into the centre of St helier.

LithuaniaIt is noisy during the night, as it's close to the main road. Also, the walls are very thin, so you can hear everyone chating, walking in their rooms, etc. The water in the shower was very weak.
The location is good, close to town and also has lots of parking around the area. The room was spacious.

United KingdomThe only thing I can fault was the blinds in the room let in too much light so you're woken when the sun rises without choice.

United KingdomOur room was on the ground floor at the front which meant you couldn't have the window open if people were smoking or talking loudly right outside.
Great location about 10-15 minutes walk into the centre of St Helier. Friendly staff and the room was comfy and clean. Some street parking and a car park close by. Only a short walk down the road to Havre des Pas for a swim. Some lovely local restaurants nearby if you don't want to go into town.

United KingdomThe breakfast options were a little limited, but the food was always freshly prepared and tasty. The only ventilation was from a large window which I was not comfortable leaving open overnight, nor with any property in the room whilst I was out.
I was very well greeted upon arrival and throughout the stay the staff were absolutely wonderful, always friendly and helpful and genuinely interested in how you spent your time. The room I had was one of the chalets outside the main building, overlooking the well-kept garden. Although the decor and furnishing were somewhat dated, it had a charming feel about it so didn't detract from the stay at all. The room was spacious and comfortable and was larger than I had originally anticipated. The location was amazing, only a short walk from the beach at Harve des Pas, which looks amazing in the early evening light.

CanadaThe shower in room 4 needs sorting out. Most of the water squirts out the side so temperature control is an issue. A bedside lamp would be useful and a bit of a dusting under the beds would not go amiss.
Check in was smooth, the location is brilliant, the garden suite was quiet. Loads of hot water available. The cafe down the street is cheap and cheerful with great coffee and chips. There is a lovely seafood restaurant nearby and is about 2 minutes walk to the sea water baths. Easy walking to the shopping district.
