We had a superior room which was quite small and the bathroom very small but it had everything you needed. We only had a one night stay but if we’d been basing ourselves there for longer I think we would have struggled with the small room. Our room faced the front. No real traffic noise or noise from downstairs bar/restaurant but some street light. If you’re worried about noise/light I’d ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Having said that, would definitely stay again.

Lovely old-style hotel for a short stay. Loads of character and atmosphere and the food in the grill was excellent. We’d been travelling through Wales for a week when we stayed here on the last night of our holiday and the restaurant food was the best we’d had.

Lovely breakfast, spotless room and bathroom, and a perfect location. The staff were fantastic—warm and attentive. Loved the clean, pet-free environment. Highly recommend!

Only one small thing…. Mirror needs illuminating in bathroom as found it difficult to apply eye make up. Also need do not disturb sign for the door

It was really hot during night time, we even slept with no heating on and open windows! But the hotel only provided a duvet which was very warm. In my opinion every room should include an extra lighter blanket, this would guarantee the right comfort for a good sleep.

Amazing location and the car parking included for the whole day, even after checkout is bonus points. The restaurant and lobby areas are very cosy and good service is provided.

It was a bit of a potch having to go outdoors to get to the dining room and back again as I was staying in the lodge but that said I still felt safe and secure so it wasn't a real issue.

Everything. A top notch hotel, a lively reception, a warm welcome from reception staff. My room was so comfortable I didn't bother to leave it for dinner, I rested with the windows open and could hear a male voice choir singing one of my favourite hymns. When they finished I could hear the bird song, I had a lovely view out of my window looking up from the car park. There was a choice of where to eat, and breakfast in the dining room was perfection on a plate, i could really tell the food was fresh and local, the bacon was so good and tasty. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. I loved my stay and would stay again.

The staff on reception were very helpful with a parking permit and general information. The room and bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location for walks along the river and also playing golf at Betws-Y-Coed 9 hole course. We had tea & toasted tea cake on arrival. We booked a table for our evening meal which was recommended and proved to be necessary. Table service by staff was friendly and helpful for our evening meal and at breakfast too. It was a good break and we’ll be back.

Excellent location and amazing service. The staff were absolutely amazing, especially Donna (massive thank you). We were riding the Traws Eryri mountain bike ride from Mach through Dolgellau before arriving at Betws on our Tandem mountain bike. We were able to leave a change of clothing with the hotel for next day ready to complete our challenge with our ride through to Conwy. The team were super happy to help and support our adventure. Many many thanks to you all.
