When we arrived, the MET protection was in the sofa and dirty. Besides that, the owner (it was not a hotel, so our only comunication way was with the owner) takes a lot of time to answer and it made our plans a little bit difficult.

The location was amazing. You walk out the door on to the Royal Mile! However, more than that, it was like staying at a friend's place. When we met the host for the key, he was so kind and helpful that it really set us up to have a lovely stay.

The only problem was the heater in the hall was hanging off the wall on arrival (but unsafe for toddler). But once we came back from being out it had been fixed so can’t complain :)

The location was amazing, as soon as you open the door to the building you’re in the middle of everything. Right on the royal mile means it’s only a short walk to all the restaurants and attractions. The apartment was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. As we visited with our 16 month old little boy, there was room for his travel cot and a highchair was provided. The bed was comfy and bathroom a good size. The living area and kitchen were also a good size and my little boy loved toddling round. The host kept in contact and it was easy to find the key.

if there had been two people stating here , I would have set exceptional. however , there were 4 adults ( my children are 20 and 22.The sofa bed in our first apartment was just not fit for purpose. The host kindly changed our apartment to one above, there was a better sofa bed - but we still had to put a quilt on the mattress to make it comfortable … so I would say great for two adults and two children .. but not 4 adults.

Small things really but the shower isn't overly powerful and the sofa bed needs replacing but this would not stop us from a return visit.

Perfect location, couldn't have been better! Felt nice and safe with the gates to the entrance (when others closed it anyway) Apartment was clean and cosy. Good communication from John. No noise from the street as the apartment is facing the opposite side.

There was a tiny bit of noise, due to the location, but I mean tiny. Mainly glass bottles being emptied into bins from nearby bars and restaurants!

The location was excellent. Right on the Royal Mile and easy walking distance to most attractions and there were plenty food and drink venues in the vicinity.

Location was fantastic. Right in the heart of Edinburgh and not noisy at night. Easy walking distance to most places within the center of Edinburgh.

I cannot fault the accommodation, just perhaps within the main entrance to the building, the first flight of stairs to negotiate with a pram before getting to the lift, but not a major issue really.

The location is fantastic. It is right in the middle of the Royal Mile. If you don't feel like preparing food, you can either pop downstairs to cafes right by the accommodation or stroll a few paces to all that Edinburgh has to offer. Failing that, order food to eat in! The accommodation felt very 'homely' which was useful as we wanted to feel 'part of the scene' rather than tourists 'looking in on everything' as we are thinking of relocating to Edinburgh. So it gave us more of an insight that hotels often cannot, when you're trying to get a feel for a place. One of the most useful items was the washing machine as we had to travel very lightly, coming by train(s). So this was very useful for freshening up limited items brought and for baby clothes!

There was nothing not to like in the apartment but it would have been a bit crowded with 4 people, There were only 3 of us and my daughter slept on the sofa without folding it out into a double bed, which would have taken up much of the living room. Apart from that, John (the owner) could probably have saved some money on heating bills: it was roasting!!

The location is absolutely perfect! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Edinburgh. The little touches that make such a difference for a short stay were all in place: plentiful towels and toilet tissue; kitchen towel and washing up regalia; even biscuits and a pint of milk!

The property is noisy as your right in the centre. People shouting down the passage at the back of the apartment, bottle bins being emptied early in the morning and the constant sound of pigeons on the windowsills.

The location was excellent and John sorted out parking for us which is hard to find in the centre of Edinburgh. Great space and facilities right on the doorstep of The Royal Mile.

Outdated and could do with modernising - I would say you are paying for location rather than the apartment itself

location which couldn’t have been more perfect , everything was a stones throw away meaning we probably saved money in the sense of not having to taxi etc , couple of biscuits and milk left for us which was a nice touch, place was very clean and even though you are in the centre it’s still surprising quiet, would definitely stay again 😁

everything was fine apart from the quality of the sofa bed. If your travelling with kids its ok but anyone weighing over 8 stone is not going to be comfortable. Seriously everything else was very good.

Very well appointed apartment in an excellent location. We were in Edinburgh for our son’s wedding at the City Chambers, and the flat was ideal. Clean and comfortable, with all you need for a great stay.
