I appreciate that the hotel is currently being renovated, so there are workers everywhere. It is an old building, which brings its own charm. Would love to stay again when the work is completed.

Property needs lots of work, some of which seems to be still in progress. Lots of dog hairs in our room. Poor quality of work especially in bathroom.

The room (24) was a large family room with a double bed and 2 single beds. The view was superb overlooking the ferry terminal and very entertaining for our 5 year old. Who knew 20 cars plus 2 big lorries could all fit on fine. There was no noise either due to the secondary glazing on the room’s windows. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great. Highly recommend.

at Breakfast, cereal had finished, one girl was trying to clear tables, take orders, bring food and coffee. She apologised to each table for the delay in getting their breakfast. Was very obvious hotel were under staffed. Bathroom looked as if it had recently been renovated, but radiator was missing and shower rail was loose, plus no toilet roll holder. Things just were not finished properly, would need a full time handy-man to keep on top of maintainance jobs

Due to staff shortage no food available first night. Hotel could do with upgrading.Also outside parking area front would benefit tidy up and metal handrails need attention.

Great location , just across the road from the ferry station . Lovely staff , everyone was really friendly and accommodating, we had a dog traveling with us and we had no problems at all . They also organised that we could have breakfast in the bar area so our dog could stay with us , thank you for that and for all the recommended places to visit . We will be back for sure .

No food, however, it is out of season so understandable. Recommendations for food in Dunoon were excellent.

Beautiful old building. Rooms have been recently refurbished and the property is also undergoing work at the moment. There was no disturbance with noise but we just saw decorators etc. around.

The hotel was chilly at times, the C heating was not working. Heaters were however supplied and rooms were warm with them on.

The breakfast was limited but good, full traditional Scottish.

Staff weren't overly friendly or welcoming, only seemed to be one guy doing reception, serving at the bar and probably more. Not much parking.

The hotel does not have lifts. We were on the top floor and it was a trek going up and down with two senior citizens and 4 bags.

Location of the hotel. It is located right across from the ferry terminal with amazing views of the lake. The room was huge and probably had the largest bathroom I've seen in this country.

One of the bedside lamps didn't work and there were a few electric things in the bathroom that didn't work.

The staff were brilliant seeing as my booking confirmation hadn't been sent. Comfortable sleep in the bed. A huge comfy chair was an added bonus.
