The car park was a bit of a squeeze to get into, if you had a large vehicle it might be difficult.

The staff were exceptional. The hotel is quirky in a good way.

Everything about the hotel was fine, but not exceptional - apart from the staff who were very helpful. However, the price made it extremely good value for money: half the price of others. We couldn't believe breakfast was included.

Nothing at all. It is such a shame that they did not offer an evening meal. We were informed that the hotel was also being upgraded bit by bit.

Breakfast was fantastic. Cooked breakfast was perfect. Continental breakfast was also available which consisted of croissants, cereal, fruit, yoghurts and fruit juices and water. The bar was very comfortable, well stocked and friendly

There was a little traffic noise as we were in the annexe on the ground floor but nothing of great significance

The bedside lights on one side didn’t work and we were told the fault wasn’t fixable during our stay. The hairdryer supplied didn’t work and had to be replaced but the new one was dirty with fluff. There didn’t seem much point in getting another replacement! We had no view out of the window except the car park, and for what we paid (£100 per night including the dog charges) I would have expected a bit more. The hotel needs updating and decorating, it’s looking a little dated.

The breakfast was fine, the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was okay but it’s location wasn’t great although the hotel itself is in a good location.

We had an early start so missed breakfast completely. It seems a shame that if ,like us , many visitors have to leave before 7.30a.m. , some simple self service continental style breakfast couldn't be arranged even if a more leisurely Full English takes longer to prepare. However a Kettle for tea & coffee making is available in the room.

We had an unexpected upgrade to the seaview room on the 3rd floor Room 309! will definitely try to book that room again! The view of the estuary and beach were superb both in the evening with little yachts out on the sea and again to wake up to in the morning with fishermen and boats setting off for the day. Wished we could've stayed longer !

The bathroom could do with updating but it was very clean The bed wasn't the most comfortable we had slept in so this could be improved.

Really friendly staff, great welcome with the dog including dog blanket, bowl, poo bags and ball in the room! Let us leave our bags with reception before check in and after check out due to train times which was great. Location was perfect for ease of access to town centre and the beach

Excellent breakfast, kitchen not available for evening meals due to kitchen ptoblems. Ideal location for the seafront and town center. Good value for money hotel
