'Didn't like' is too strong but I found that I was not able to close one window as a climber had grown up through the gaps. Luckily it was a warm night so did not matter. The room could have done with being vacuumed as there were a few bits on the floor and a few cobwebs around. The bathroom was a bit tired looking but was clean.

The hostess was very nice and accommodating. Allowed me to stay in the breakfast room until I had to leave and I was allowed to drink as much tea as I wished. The bed was very comfy. For those that have dogs they are dog friendly which was very nice to know.

    Bathrooms could do with updating.

Fantastic breakfast, Caroline was absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Lovely old building with many period features - however some things could do with modernisation, not sure how limited the landlord is with this due to being a listed building.

A separate bathroom is not per se an issue but not having an in room toilet is. The bathroom we had was not very clean (e.g. spider rags) and the shower had a lot of funghi. Time to replace the shower.

The character and charm of the place with a very nice decoration. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.

BnB is in need of a little TLC update for the price of the stay. The private bathroom was across a hall not attached to the room so I could see other guests. Arrival was greeted by the attached nursery using the garden so as not to private or restful on arrival day. The shower turned hot on cold and cold on hot. Kettle in room brittle and needed replacing. Towels had bleach marks on them. Food from Aldi, if decanted, would never be known.

Caroline took great care of us and was a very good host. Room was beautifully decorated, and breakfast was nice .

It was so cold that I struggled to get warm in the room - I had extra blankets but still couldnt get warm The rooms were dated and could do with some upgrading but they are limited as it is a Grade 2 listed building

Caroline who is managing this B & B goes above and beyond any expectations I had. She couldnt do enough for me on my stay

The entry system of three different key pads with three different locks is ridiculous, this information is stored on your mobile so if the battery charge runs down you are locked out of your hotel.

It was advertised as en suite but the bathroom with toilet was separate from the room, across the corridor. However I was the only one using it and I soon got used to it. For the price it was fine.

Very near college I needed to attend. Excellent breakfast.

Honestly can't find anything that would be a justifiable moan. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.

The most quaint looking property in a great location. Exceptionally clean. Great Breakfast. Peter, the owner was very welcoming and operates a great check in system. I love this type of olde worlde establishment; crooked walls, odd doors and creaky floor boards, right up my street. It's very tastefully decorated and welcoming. We travelled with two dogs who were made just as welcome as we were with their own blanket and a fresh bowl of water in the room. Lovely village location with some great, traditional pubs serving tasty food within walking distance. If we're in the area again we would definitely stay here.

The breakfast is excellent, apart from cereals, yogurts, a wide variety of breads and jams, Peter also prepares a delicious British Breakfast. The ambiance of the 400 year old house is charming and the garden is a great place to relax. Peter is a fantastic host, ready to advise and help if needed. All in all, totally recommendable!

it was a shared bathroom and toilet. That said putting en-suite in the rooms would destroy the charm of the place.

the building it’s self was amazing, so much character, uneven floors, creaking floorboards and not a square angle in the place, absolutely a step back in time to a more relaxed lifestyle.
