Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWhat a delightful stay we had at Rossmor Guest House! It was hard to leave. The location allowed us to walk everywhere: into town, to dinner both nights, and to a variety of local walking trails. Breakfast was delicious, with multiple options, and the hosts provided recommendations for fantastic dinner places and fun things to do in the area. The room was spacious yet cozy, with all the necessary amenities, strong hot shower, and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Our hosts were welcoming and warm and we thank them for such an enjoyable stay!

United KingdomAfter not having taken a holiday or weekend break for the past five years, we finally decided to go on a short getaway to Nethybridge to visit an elderly relative. We chose to stay at the RossMor Bed & Breakfast and were absolutely thrilled with our experience. Thomas greeted us at the door with a warm smile and showed us to our cosy, comfortable room. We selected our breakfast preferences and were left to enjoy our stay in peace. The next morning, we came down for breakfast, and although I've had many delicious breakfasts before, nothing compared to this. Everything was made with locally sourced ingredients, served on a hot plate, and accompanied by Thomas’s signature smile. Ben also stopped by to say hello and later offered us more tea, coffee, or toast. RossMor is truly a well-oiled, impeccably run establishment. We will definitely be returning. If you're considering staying in the area, make the RossMor Bed & Breakfast your top choice—the hosts are simply wonderful.

GermanyThat we only stayed four nights...
We stayed at the beginning of our three week Scotland trip at RossMor, and what a start it was! Ben and Thomas are fantastic hosts and do everything to make you feel right at home. The house and the room is very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and all is perfectly organized. The breakfast is simply fantastic, lots of different options, everything is always freshly made for your specific breakfast time and of high quality. We never had better breakfast than here. The guest house is conveniently located at one end of Grantown-on-Spey and the centre of town can be reached easily on foot. Parking is available behind the house, although it requires some skill to maneuver in small spaces (which is not unusual in Scotland). We also received great recommendations for places to eat and things to do! Our explicit thanks again to Ben and Thomas for the warm hospitality and our conversations. We enjoyed our time very much! We can absolutely recommend to stay at RossMor for a visit in Speyside and the Cairngorms! We hope to come back!

BulgariaLovely house in the heart of beautiful nature. The interior, the garden, everything is done with taste and close attention to the smallest detail. Extremely clean and comfortable. Very, very delicious breakfast! The living room with a lit fireplace that warms you after a cold day, the books, the landscape paintings by a local artist create warm and inviting atmosphere. Comfort, tranquility and feeling of home. Thomas is an wonderful and welcoming host!

United StatesThomas was a wonderful host, very entertaining & informative. Our room was immaculate, breakfast amazing & RossMor is conveniently located. On the day our clothes got soaked in the rain, Thomas graciously dried them out in his “drying room” and we were good to pack them. One of our favorite B&B’s of all time!

CanadaOnly that we didn’t stay longer
Rossmor B&B is located at the quiet end of the Main Street , easy to walk to dinner or drive to explore the countryside. There was ample easy parking and a beautiful garden to relax in and a bird feeder outside the breakfast room. The hour an old Victorian , came complete with original skeleton keys. Thomas welcomed us and made dinner suggestions and reservations for us as well as recommending good walks and activities. Our room was very large on the top floor and had the most comfortable beds we have experienced in Scotland. Lots of pillows and good quality soaps. Then there was breakfast. No end of choice. Our favourites were the scrambled eggs on leeks on toast and a wonderful fruit salad. The kippers were delicious and came with instructions from Thomas on the correct way to debone the fish. We enjoyed talking with Thomas and appreciated his dry wit. All in all a wonderful stay.

A hearty breakfast with a particularly tasty fruit compote got each day off to a great start. Thomas and Ben were both informative and helpful.

Rossmor B&B is a very charming place set in a 140 years old Victorian house that is run by equally charming hosts. It is set in a quiet residential area but yet within walking distance to the small town center where there are a few nice restaurants, souvenir and artisanal shops. We used it as a base for two nights to explore the surrounding areas like the Cairngorms National Park. Thomas is the consummate host and gave us very good recommendations on places to dine and visit. Breakfast was a sumptuous affair and we enjoyed the scrambled eggs with leek and black pudding in particular. You can stay there for a week and have different breakfast options each morning. Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rossmor and a big thank to Thomas & Ben for hosting us!

United KingdomNothing. It was all excellent.
This was our second visit to the Rossmor and was the first place we thought to book following our wedding and our friends also booked up too. Thomas and Ben are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble to ensure your stay is nothing but excellent. The breakfast choice provided is first class and the quality of food is outstanding with impeccable service provided by Thomas. We were fortunate to have glorious weather allowing us to use the front garden facilities. All in all an amazing stay with the best hosts and fantastic conversation and banter!
