Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTeeny point - could there be one more tea towel as I wanted to dry and put them away after each use in the kitchen.
Delightful accommodation with every small detail considered and cleary explained. Completely delighted and wish to let Rhiannon know we had a splendid time and hope we followed all requirements and that she was satisfied with us as guests as I would like to come back!

All the little touches. All the roses. Excellent kitchen. Lots of lounging space. Private garden. My favourite thing was the conservatory. I loved sitting in it looking out at the garden with the sun warming the room

United KingdomWhat a lovely cottage! It had everything we needed for the long weekend and was lovely and warm. The beds were very comfortable, clean towels, toiletries and cleaning products provided and fresh roses in every room - what a lovely touch. United KingdomThe only thing was that the person sleeping above the bathroom heard a bit of a noise each time someone had a shower. Next time we would make sure we all had our shower in the evening before bed and not early in the morning so as not to interrupt their sleep.
ROSE COTTAGE The Cottage is located in such a great position centrally for the Town Centre, the walk to The Tor and The Chalice Well. It has everything you require and more to stay in and cook should you choose to do so. Impressed that it had a nutrabullet. The Cottage itself was lovely and has such a light airy feel to it. Roses were placed in each room which was such a lovely touch together with some goodies which were left for our arrival. The girls and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again sometime in the future.

United KingdomSeating in the conservatory wasn’t comfortable considering we were four adults. Very steep steps to the conservatory door (only entrance) and not so good for anyone with walking up steps. No toilet upstairs.
Convenient to various Park Runs plus very good for our dog. Comfortable beds, good bed linen. Well equipped kitchen and overall warm cottage.

United KingdomNot much, perhaps the shower head was a bit droopy.
What a comfortable, warm and welcoming energy Rose Cottage has. My friend and I spent 4 nights and wanted for nothing, little touches make a rental feel like home and this is what it has. An abundance of hot,hot water, bean to cup coffee machine, fresh roses in the rooms, even rose shampoo etc.in the shower. Soft fluffy towels too! Recommended.

United KingdomWhilst it was excellent to have a dedicated parking space, it was a bit tight turning into it. I have a relatively small car, not sure how a bigger car would manage. Everything else was perfect.
The location was perfect for us as we were there to shop. Excellent for the Clarks village. Very comfortable and cosy.

United KingdomIt was very cold until the heating got going, which to a while, after that it was fine. During the colder months might be nice to have the heating on low before guests arrive. There could be a few more basics in the kitchen, perhaps milk, break, cooking oil. We had to go out and get basics on arrival, or let people know they'll need to bring it with them. After a drive you just want to sit and recover, not go shopping. This is the only place we've stayed that had almost nothing in the kitchen.
Nice big space, clean tidy bedrooms and parking outside.

United KingdomWe had a fantastic time in this lovely, cosy and welcoming cottage. We particularly appreciated the little extras that made our stay extra special such as the welcome snacks, and toiletries. We travel periodically around the UK for retreats and this turned out to be one of our favourite holiday lets. The location is in the centre of town, just around the corner from the main high street, allowing all of the key attractions to be reached within a short walking distance. The property is beautifully furnished and decorated and we enjoyed sitting in the conservatory with a view of the stunning hills around Glastonbury. We have loved visiting this magical town and before even our break had finished, we spoke about making a return trip. This cottage was a big part in making our holiday extra special so I would like to express our thanks to our host. When we eventually come to planning our return trip, we will endeavour to stay again at Rose Cottage.
