Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomHaving booked for a night they asked me to make a deposit of fifty pounds which will be refunded wen am going out of a truth a my life I have never seen any thing of such ,when I did when I was going out the response that came that they will release it and my bank will credit my account very disappointing. I was not told I will be refunded by my bank not the hotel,my counsel, sure policy is not good it scares patronage management should look it and improve.

Decent sized rooms, shower was really nice. Great for a work trip in the city. Unfortunately didn't have time to get the included breakfast. Check in and check out were easy and the staff were really nice.

PortugalApart from the loud music from the disco across h the street, the only thing I didn’t really like was the breakfast. If English breakfast is not your breakfast of preference, then you don’t much many options. Same goes for dietary restrictions/preferences.
Great location. Room is big and comfortable. The bathroom is also big. Staff nice and accommodating. However my bedroom was facing a disco so I could only sleep after midnight because the music was just too loud. The playlist was nice so it wasn’t extremely annoying 😀

United KingdomShower needed maintenance. Drained very slowly and difficult to turn off so it didn’t drip. Slight irritations and didn’t spoil the stay but I question how often maintenance is carried out. TV had multiple white spots on the screen so depending on what you watched it could be very distracting.

Fantastic location - short walk from Lime Street and everything else in easy reach. Cool hotel. Was anxious when told I had a basement room but in fact it was a lovely space - smartly presented, fairly recently decorated I think - plus the basement location meant it was very quiet. The area is full of late-night music which is great but not necessarily if you're trying to sleep! Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels.

More than anything the location, everything I wanted to see I walked to, even Everton's new ground, which isn't bad in my mid seventies. For anyone on a budget, nice Witherspoon pub in Fleet st less than 100 yards away can offset city prices elsewhere.
