What a truly fantastic place to stay! It’s been developed to an incredibly high standard whilst maintaining all the character of the building. It was such a novelty to have the run of the whole place when the staff had gone home, there were so many nooks and cranny’s to explore. We have nothing but positive things to stay - it’s clean and so comfortable and all the staff we encountered were polite, cheerful and a delight to talk to!

The breakfast was a well prepared and presented, tasty with variety that set you up for the day. The care and attentiveness of the staff was exceptional and homely.

Perfect Castle for the night all you could ask for But there is no local place to eat other than local pub they try but it’s pub grub no more no less next time we will take cold board and bred for a perfect stay

Unfortunately there were narrow stairs, so uncomfortable for hubby with injured knee (not anyone's fault)

This was an unexpected bonus staying here. The setting was amazing with the obvious history. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and you were looked after well if needed. Breakfast was awesome, can see why it gets 5 stars. It was a very quiet serene setting, dinner at the pub was also really good.

Everything was great. Rooms and bathrooms comfortable. Stylish internal conversion of old castle into modern hotel. Staff were efficient and friendly and the breakfast was fantastic and freshly cooked.

My partner's shoulders were a little too wide to fit through the top stairs straight on😂 But we couldn't find a single fault with this place, amazing!

Everything is perfect. It's the most special place we've ever been, can't rate highly enough. The welcome was so lovely with a tour of the castle - the lounge area, the honesty bar and balcony, the small library. The room was amazing, comfy bed and everything you'd need. Breakfast was so tasty, nothing too much trouble.

Absolutely stunning hotel and location. The staff were super friendly and had set up the room for my birthday. Everything was clean and tidy. The room was also very well stocked with freebies. Very quiet location and a great view. A truly unique stay.

Top marks for an amazing B & B- so pleased with our stay. Lovely views, room, hospitality, and accommodations. Attention to detail abounds and we couldn't have asked for more. Delicious breakfast - so many choices - beautiful fruits and pastries and hot breakfast- perfectly prepared presented.

Probably the best hotel I’ve yet stayed in. the building itself is exquisite being a fantastic mix of original Medieval features and stylish modern decor and furnishing. From beginning to end the experience was first class; the staff always friendly and attentive , the room superbly equipped and very comfortable while breakfast was super. The views from the sun room were to die for and the grounds lovely. Just a wonderful place to relax and recuperate.

The staff were so wonderful and friendly. The location was just beautiful, rooms very comfortable! Would highly recommend such a unique experience of staying in a castle in such a beautiful spot. The fresh croissants for breakfast were some of the best we’ve ever had!

It would be great if the checkout hours were extended at least till 9 pm and also if staff could help with carrying the luggage. I think some little things in the bar like the small alcohol bottles should be free in a 5 star hotel.

Exceptional properly, perfect for history lovers. Unique experience. Nice breakfast options at the á la carte menu.

The option to eat dinner at the castle would have been ideal.

The Castle was an amazing place to stay, oozing with character and with fabulous views from the ramparts. The staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough for us to make our stay extra special. The breakfasts were incredibly full of flavour, and there was a super variety of choices on offer. All in all, a fabulous week. We look forward to our next visit! :-)

Would have liked to have had an evening meal at the Castle and i think they could have done more around the castle grounds.. Flower beds or maybe a sitting area.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and we love staying here. The rooms are luxurious and very comfortable and the views are amazing. The staff deserve a special mention as they give a lovely welcome and are so helpful.

Not a lot within the area to do but most things were within half hour drive to an hour depending on the activity so wasn’t a massive problem.

Such a stunning hotel to stay in both inside and out beautifully decorated and has a fantastic view from all angles Wished the hotel would do an evening dining their breakfast was fantastic even with limited options cooked wise we would have been happy to dine there in the evening too. We went for our honey moon and was treated to a lovely tour of the whole property and our room was beautifully decorated to our surprise can’t wait to come back next year for our honeymoon

Other guests were quite strange in the common area, but this isn't the hotel's fault. The lounge is a lovely place to relax if there isn't someone doing their personal karaoke.

The location was simply amazing, a castle on top of the hill. Also a good location for exploring the coast as Roch is very central.
