Super clean shared areas and the shared rooms were quite spacious with storage - super close to everything - a great stopover place and an optimal kitchen

- no lockers. Almost every hostel has lockers. The staff did offer to put anything behind reception - would have loved a shelf to put phone on as I was charging it as I was sleeping - just a small thing

+ right next to train station and cable car station to Murren. Perhaps 3-4 minute walk. This makes Lauterbrunnen and Valley Hostel ideal location to explore the region. Also co-op supermarket is even closer + staff were great and friendly + plenty of room in shared showers and bathrooms + love the use of a drying rack / drying room + each bunk bed had a light and plug socket to charge things. They even had Swiss / EU ports. + kitchen was fine. Wasn’t too busy when I was cooking. + lovely area to sit inside and outside if weather is nice

Great location. Free parking was a bonus. Stayed in a family room with shared bathroom - had a view of the waterfall and mountains, room was spacious and clean. Bathrooms were clean. Shared kitchen had everything you need. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend.

Can’t complain, it is a hostel so you have to share bathrooms, remove the bed linen on check out, and be wary you are sharing the space with other people.

The location was fantastic as we were just passing through Lauterbrunnen, being located just next to the train station. Check in was easy and quick, and the facilities were clean. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped, and we saw families using it to cook full meals.

A freezer in the kitchen would have been great. Also the ceiling in the ladies bathroom is gross! I know it is the shower steam but looks nasty. Perhaps tile would be better?

Located downtown Lauterbrunnen, an easy walk to train station or to the waterfall. Our family really appreciated the kitchen? Food is very expensive in Switzerland so being able to make our own and relax at the end of the day was wonderful!

It's not about the place but it can be very noisy at night with loud people gathered in outside porch especially weekend. The staff told them to be quiet around midnight but it should be quiet after 9 or 10 pm.

Shared kitchen, bathroom, room was all clean! Towels and linens provided. Our room 15 had the most beautiful view of the fall from balcony. Laundromat costs 5 chf each for washing and drying. There is a rack at balcony to hang your clothes. In kitchen you can store your food in the fridge and a shelf. The staff was excellent! Very welcoming and helpful. Everything was fantastic. I definitely recommend.

Almost perfect property to stay

Amazing location (an hostel in heaven must be similar to this one ), super supportive staff (can't ask for more), flexible and self check-in options during lunch hours, spot clean property, well equipped kitchen and a stone's throw away from Lauterbrunnen station. The view from the balcony with the waterfall and valley view was the best thing.

We liked staying in Valley Hostel a lot. You can check in by yourself if you come late. We stayed in a room with 2 beds. It was very clean with beautiful view of the mountains. There is a backyard with a few deckchairs so you can relax outside looking at different beautiful view. 🙂 There is very friendly and very helpful man working in reception. He speaks English and Polish. There is a room for your luggage after check out. You just need to bring slippers, it is a rule not to walk inside with your shoes on. What I think help to keep this place so clean.

I loved my room balcony view of the waterfalls. The kitchen was well equipped. The shower and toilet were just outside the rooms, they were cleaned each morning. Parking was free outside hostel.

The room got a bit stuffy- could’ve benefitted from a fan.

Great location in the centre of Lauterbrunnen and a 5 minute walk from the station. We had a balcony with a nice view of the waterfall. The bathroom was always kept clean and the kitchen facilities were great. I also liked the garden area.
