Only suggestion I would make is maybe a couple of slabs from tent to bathroom as we had to walk on wet grass to bathroom but not a problem in dry weather.

Everything, it was perfect, unfortunately it rained in the evening so we couldn’t make use of the fire pit. The shower was warm and lots provided in the kitchen. The biscuits, tea and marshmallows were a lovely touch and the beds were very comfortable.

A bit too cold at night, would have loved some heating. Noise level from road would be something we want to escape on this kind of stay.

Loved the tent and facilities. Beds were comfy with clean covers and extra blankets. Treats left for us to enjoy. Nice area for kids to play. Very close to roaches and other enjoyable walks etc.

Site needed a little maintenance due to nettles around the tent and play area, other than that we enjoyed our stay loads of lovely walks right on your doorstep.

We loved our stay at roaches retreat, lovely owners very welcoming

The field the tents are in is right next to a very busy road meaning that there is constant traffic noise.

Lovely Bell Tent with comfortable beds and plenty of space, there were even hot water bottles provided. The kitchen facilities and en-suite were cleverly thought out and very handy. It is within walking distance of the Roaches.

What a lovely location - you can see the Roaches very clearly and easy to walk up there from the site. We loved the cakes and teas at the tea room on the way! Having read a couple of bad reviews about the nearby road I was a little worried, but it really didn’t bother us at all. Perhaps if you’re a light sleeper but there’s not much traffic through the night. The children were so happy playing on the ‘beach’ and on the rope swings that we were able to sit and enjoy the views with a glass of wine! The tents are huge inside and so nicely decorated. I wasn’t expecting to have bedding and towels provided but they were.

    Nothing.

Our tent was great! The beds were comfy and warm and the thought that had been put into the activities for the children were outstanding.

We assumed the site would be a secure glamping site as we've previously stayed on so it's worth flagging that the set up is two tents on a piece of private land off of a main road. This was fine for us when we got over the initial shock but I'd imagine would put some people off booking if they did not know. It would have been nice to have a padlock of sorts on the tent to use at night albeit, if someone wanted to enter your tent uninvited, they could. We also had to message on multiple channels to request our free bag of firewood and didn't hear back from the host for over 24hrs initially. When I called the following day to chase, I was advised that someone would be down to deliver the firewood soon. The firewood was delivered but no explanation or apology received as to why this wasn't provided at check-in. It would also be good to have a couple of hooks in the tent to hang and dry wet towels/clothing as well as a towel hook in the bathroom. Also worth flagging that the phone reception is pretty much zero until you're a couple of minutes down the road (either side). Again, not something that was an issue for us as we ended up enjoying a impromptu digital detox but might deter others.

The location was great for exploring the roaches with some lovely pubs nearby for dinner. The tent was spacious, the beds comfy and the wheelbarrow provided to transport luggage from the car was a nice touch. When we received the firewood it was also nice to site outside and enjoy the fire.

The tent is situated right next to a very busy main road every one can see you as they pass by and any one can stop the car and walk directly up to your tent in seconds , it’s a very unsafe and worrying set up we lasted a total of 4 hours before packing up at midnight and booking a hotel for our weekend break , alone on the side of a road in a tiny open field while men slowed down to look and stop was just not what we expected we assumed it would be a secure spot like other glamping sites , I would only book this for large groups of adults definitely not lone woman and children and I would also make sure you take lights as no lights in the tent worked at all a very scary experience and a huge waste of £200 plus the £300 we had to spend on a hotel for the weekend no refund offered or part

We stayed for a total of 4 hours instead of 2 nights it was horrendous

Our stay at Wallaby Way Bell Tent was perfect from start to finish. The location is stunning and within easy reach of different locations. The beds were comfy, we managed to stay warm despite the cold weather and rain. We enjoyed walking Hen Cloud and The Roaches, visiting the tea room and Leek. We would definitely stay again and the owners responded to all our requests. Thank you

Nothing - everything has been thought of and the owners have gone above and beyond with the set up

We've just returned from a 2 night stay with our children aged 11, 9 and 6 and we all absolutely loved the site. Great facilities with comfy beds and plenty of blankets and hot water bottles for everyone (definitely required as the nights were chilly!) Excellent facilities with our own bathroom and the kitchen area was fully equipped. The fire pit and provision of logs was a neat touch along with a lovely area for the children to play including two tree swings. Would highly recommend

    Nothing at all

Absolutely fantastic stay!!! Everything extremely clean, great set up with own bathroom including shower and own kitchen area. Beautiful area with a little stream and rope swing and mud kitchen for the children. Extremely comfy beds with cosy blankets for the colder nights. All essential items available in the kitchen- pans ect and also a large cool box. A lovely big fire pit which we loved toasting marshmallows on. We stayed with 2 children- 4&1 years old and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return and highly recommend.
